Vintage Hair Care Products

I remember several hair care products from days gone by and I will share my memories of them with you all today.  The first one is Woodbury shampoo.

Another one is the Farrah Fawcett shampoo and conditioner.

Then we have Head and Shoulders, which is still sold today;  however, I don't think it is sold today quite like in this photo, which was a cream form, if I remember accurately.

Next is Prell shampoo.  Here is what the bottle looked like back then.

Last on my list for today is the Toni home perm.

Thank you for visiting me here, and please feel free to click on the "comments" button at the end of any of my posts to share your memories and thoughts.

  1. 4 out of 5 for me! Woodbury was before my time, but I LOVED Prell and the Toni perms were inflicted upon me in my youth.

Remember "Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific!" My mom got ONE bottle of that. The rest of the time it was whatever was cheapest LOL!

    1. Hi Roxanne,

Thanks so much for stopping by and for sharing your memories. Oh, yes! I remember "Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific!" It was in a purple bottle, right? The fragrance was great.

  2. Fun post, Wren. I remember the Farrah hair products, too. Didn't we all want to look like Farrah? (As if the shampoo would have done it! :o) Thanks for sharing. The Prell bottle looks familiar, too :)

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I was in high school when you were born and remember the products you have listed in the past several posts and watched many a snowy TV show. One of my sons had trouble learning to read and was teased by his classmates. Fortunately, the school system here used different techniques in the special education classes and he returned to normal classes in junior high. I think we handle stress less well as we get older. Definitely share your history with your doctor. He may have some suggestions that will help.

  7. It is informative post. Woodbury shampoo is really best. Don't use the product which is not reliable in your hair also use only the herbal product. Oil your hair daily basis so that It look like the attractive.
