The humidity is on its way to Montreal and I am already beginning to feel the effects.  I have never been one to be able to handle the humidity so I would really appreciate you all keeping me in your prayers and thoughts.  That, plus the construction on roads is in full swing, so added to the humidity is a lot of noise and dust.

Rain, Canada Geese and a Squirrel

Happy Saturday, everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is short;  4 minutes in length.  It is entitled "Rain Sound."  Since it is a rainy day in Montreal today I thought this was a great choice.  There are absolutely beautiful nature scenes in this video...and, of course, the sound of rain.  Enjoy!

Gentle Waves and Flowers

I was Attacked Yesterday

Hello everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is a 1932 song..."Night and Day", Fred Astaire.

Yes, you read accurately in the title of my post.  I was attacked yesterday...by a gander (male goose), of all things.  :)

See, I was taking a walk in a nature park, minding my own business, or at least I thought I was minding my own business.  I was enjoying the beauty around me and taking photos, right?  Well, there were a pair of geese, and the male thought that perhaps I got a little too close for his liking...and decided to nip at my pant leg.  Fortunately I was wearing jeans, so no harm done.  I obviously backed away and calmly told him that it was "O.K."  He decided that he had taught me a lesson and backed off.  Just before he attacked me, he attacked another, larger, goose!  I am sharing two photos here and you will see that there are a pair of identical geese...one is in front of the other.  The male was in the front, protecting his "lady".  Then you will see a larger goose in the photo (with the orange beak).  He attacked that bird first and then came for me.  :)  You can see in one of the photos that the goose with the orange beak was fluttering her wings and obviously not happy that he attacked her.  I talked with a few guys that work at this nature park and they told me that this gander attacked them as well.  LOL!

Waterfowl Reflections

Harmony, a Seagull and Update on my Health

Hello everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is a short, two minute one entitled "Harmony:  Meditation Music for the Mind and Body".  I found it beautiful and relaxing and wanted to share it with you all.

Thank you all so much for your responses, prayers and well wishes in response to my post yesterday.  I did go to a doctor and he said I have labyrinthitis, which was why I was feeling dizzy.  He has prescribed meds for it.  I am not sure if it is menopausal or not, but I know that since I began menopause ten years ago I have had many "firsts" in ailments.  Uveitis was the first, then the diverticulitis last August, then the calcium on my ankle and now labyrinthitis.  I am glad to know what was causing the dizziness.  I began taking the meds last night.  My blood pressure is normal and fine.  The pharmacist told me that they can make you sleepy/drowsy.  He was right.

I thought it would be nice to ask you all:  what type of gift(s) do you most enjoy receiving?  As for myself, I absolutely love it when I receive tea!  I love tea and enjoy trying different ones!  It, for myself, is a comfort food and I have always loved tea ever since I can remember.  Of course, the greatest gift of all is the gift of friendship.

Nature at its Best

Happy Friday everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is a combination of piano, flute and beautiful nature.  The music is very nice and soft and the sounds and views of nature are just beautiful!  It is a short, 3 minute video.

I have figured out why I didn't recognize the flowers that I posted the other day as tulips.  I am used to seeing tulips in a more closed form...not as open as they were in the photos I took.  Thanks so much for identifying the flowers, and for your kind comments on my posts.

Soothing Spring

Hello everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is very short...just one minute in length.  I am posting it more for the soothing sounds of a bird bath and birds chirping than for the images.  Although there are really nice images in the video the quality of the video isn't the greatest.  You can listen to it while you read my post, though...and hopefully the sounds will be pleasant and relaxing for you as they are for myself.

Canada Geese

Hello everyone!  Those of you who visit my blog regularly know how much I love nature and animals.  The video I am sharing to day is one I found on YouTube.  It is a short 3 minute video of a family of Canada geese...the geese parents are trying to encourage their baby to make a leap;  watch and you will see.  Geese are beautiful and very social and do their best to help.
