Classic Television Shows

I find it interesting that there are some classic television shows that I remember well...and others not so well.  It makes me wonder if the ones I remember better perhaps had more of an impact on me?  I am not sure, but I am sharing today some television shows from days gone by.

First is Bewitched.

Next is The Andy Griffith Show.  I can actually say that I have a fascination for the town of Mt. Airy in North Carolina, U.S.A. because of this show!  (I have never had the opportunity to see it, though, except in photos).

Next is Father Knows Best.

Next is The Ed Sullivan Show.

Last up for this post is Romper Room.

Although there are some good shows on in this day and age, as for myself, they just seem to be lacking in so much as compared to classic TV shows like the ones I am sharing here.  Good family and moral values, mutual respect, consideration and love.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here, and I look forward to hearing your memories and thoughts.  Please click on the "comments" link at the end of my post to share.

  1. Je reconnais la 1ère et la seconde image, mais pas les autres... Je suppose qu'en France nous n'avions pas ces diffusions.
    Très jolie publication.
    Gros bisous

  4. You watched a lot of the same shows I watched when I was a kid. We have a TV station here in SoCal called "Antenna TV" and they still show a lot of the old TV shows..."Dragnet", "Adam-12", "Father Knows Best", Leave It To Beaver", etc. My late husband's all time favorite was "The Andy Griffith Show". He never missed it.

  5. As a tiny kid, I LOVED Father Knows Best! My friend Bobbi has been to Mt. Airy twice. Some of my faves are really old. Ozzie and Harriet, Our Miss Brooks, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone. i was in love with The Beverly Hillbillies and Andy Griffith.

  12. I remember each of these shows very well -- and very fondly. I have been through Mt. Airy, North Carolina, several times. It's much bigger than the TV Mayberry, but it still is a very nice town.
