First up is a 1940's ad for Curtiss candy. I remember the Baby Ruth and Butterfinger chocolate bars...which I think are still around today. As for the rest, though, other than the Peppermint Pattie, perhaps, I am unfamiliar with any of the others.

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteHere in Portugal we did't have those...
But I do have old memories...yeaaa!
Have a wonderful Sunday,
Hugs BShell
I find this very funny. There is nothing I would eat. They consumption date must be met already.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
There is nothing here I remember except a few in the first picture, but how about some of my favorites from the old days...Chiclets, Mallo Cups, Sky Bar. And three Musketeers used to be three flavors of nougat, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Now they are NOT three Musketeers anymore, they are just One Musketeer!
ReplyDeleteNope, I don't recognize any them. I'll bet it was yummy.
ReplyDeleteMy late husband Ben was a candy lover. He especially loved the old candies from when we were kids back in the 1950's. We actually found a couple of shops that sold a lot of the old candies and we would go by the every now and then and he'd pick up a bunch of the old candy bars. Talk about a "kid in a candy shop" (LOL).
ReplyDeleteI miss those good times with him.
Great candy ads. I love them. I'm with you . . . Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and Peppermint Patty.
