Hi everyone! The video I have chosen for this post is "Kindness Only Takes a Moment." It is a short, two minute video.
I am still in quite a bit of pain. I spoke with a nurse on the phone today and she thinks I may have tendinitis and not bursitis. Whatever it is, it is quite painful. She suggested that besides keeping my foot elevated and resting it to periodically put ice and warmth on it. So this is what I am going to do.
The photo I am sharing is one that I took last week. You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.
That doesn't sound too good...do you have painkillers?
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, I do, but I prefer not to take them if at all possible. Mostly I will take it in the evening before I go to bed, so at least I can get some sleep.
DeleteI am so sorry. I hope you can get to the right kind of doctor so you can get a diagnosis, then you will know how to treat it.
ReplyDeleteFor sure, Ginny. For now I am trying to rest and put ice and heat on it like the nurse suggested.
DeleteEither of those is very painful. Can you take regular aspirin? It has anti-inflammatory properties. With me though, I like to take the edge off the pain but not dull it completely or I will do more damage to the injured area.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda, I don't like to take painkillers except a couple of Tylenol before I go to sleep, I try to just let it take its course. Since the pain is caused from swelling I am working on putting ice on it to hopefully bring the swelling down.

ReplyDeleteHi Carol, thank you so much for sharing this.
DeleteI'm so sorry. I understand your pain, because I've had pain and numbness by overdo gardening. I've been suffered from it about for six months, but now my left wriste is complete good by enough rest. I do hope you get better soon.
DeleteHope it clears up soon, and that you have lots of folks around to "fetch and haul" for you.

DeleteI know what is *tendinite* or tennis elbow. very painful. The onlything efficace is to rest. Usely cames with a repeting mouvment, as i did in a watches décoration studio. Cover towsen of plates to send abroad to decorate jeweleries shops window.
ReplyDeleteBut sometime, you can't stop, so I let it have electric inclusion.
It goes as it cames.
But now I am no more making series as I am freelance et do not work as match I use to. Retire lady !

ReplyDeleteYoko
Hi Yoko, thanks so much for your visit and comment.
DeleteTake care & be patient...there is no quick cure for either problem. Open the window & let some fresh spring air into your apartment, & try to find something to keep your mind busy while you heal.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
Kim
Hi Kim, you're right, it is still painful today. I have been reading, doing crosswords, watching a little television, listening to soothing music, keeping up with my blog.
DeleteI cannot make your day, Linda, but I put a warm hart on your pain...
