LOL @ odd skates.
ReplyDeleteThey say that anger is like a hot stone that burns the hand that holds it, not the one it is aimed at. I always find it is best to forgive, but I do have my limits. As for other people who hold grudges, I think they are more to be pitied than scorned. They only make themselves unhappy.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. I have been enjoying your videos. To comment on your question about anger. If you hang on to anger it will eventually become a deep rooted bitterness which is very hard to get rid of and the only person to be hurt is yourself. The Bible even tells us not to go to bed angry. Personally I pray to have peace over the issue or person I am angry at. I make the choice to forgive them for what they did to me or what they could not give to me. If I make someone angry at me...I apologize. It is not easy but it is the right thing to do. It is up to them to except it or not. If they do not then I pray to the Lord to soften their heart, open their eyes to my feelings. It has most always worked out for the best. Please come back and visit my blog anytime. Dee
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video--I've never seen skates like that! And your photo is lovely--I love all the lush greens.
ReplyDeleteRegarding anger: I don't think it's good for us to hold on to anger, but I think it's natural to feel anger from time to time. Forgiving is important. It doesn't mean that we think what the other person did was OK. We're just not going to hold it against them anymore. If someone is holding a grudge against me, there's really not anything I can do about it. That's their choice. That's just my thoughts on it.
I enjoyed the video ...and the photograph. I recognised the sedum, but for the life of me can't remember what the plant alongside is called.
ReplyDeleteI have a volcanic temper...which I try to keep in check. this is much easier with a less stressful life.
As to forgiveness. yes, eventually if it is something done to me...but not unkindness to my husband or cruelty to any person or animal.
I'm glad to see green outside finally after this bitter winner. Now it's feels like summer.
ReplyDeleteI think it's natural and unavoidable for us to hold grudges against people who've hurt us. But after enough time has passed, hopefully we'll be able to consider the situation more clearly and let it go and maybe forgive. I think all of us have been forgiven at one time or another by others for how we hurt them, so it's good that we too forgive people who've hurt us, even though it may be difficult ...
ReplyDeleteJesus says we should forgive others 70 times 7, as God forgives us over and over and over. So there should be no limit. BUT we cannot let others continually walk all over us either. Staying mad and holding a grudge eats away at us and is not good for our health. On the other hand, the other person goes on his merry way and likely doesn't even care. So I like to say...do not give someone else the power to take over your thoughts and rob you of living to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteForgot to say the video is hilarious and wild. It almost looks like a joke, I never knew such a thing existed. But I guess it is no more crazy then unicycles.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful Linda.

Zabawny filmik. Jeszcze nie widziałam poprzedników rolek. Lubię zielony kolor, ale inne kolory też, szczególnie w ogrodzie. Nie jestem kłótliwą osobą i nie mam problemów z ludźmi na szczęście. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteFunny movie. I have not seen the predecessors of the rollers. I like the green color, but other colors too, especially in the garden. I'm not a quarrelsome person, and I have no problems with people happiness. Yours.
Green soothes our soul.
ReplyDeleteO verde é sempre agradável de ver e de sentir, gostei do vídeo.
ReplyDeleteBom domingo
If God can forgive me, an old sinner, surely we can learn to forgive others. As for how long we wait to forgive or ask for forgiveness, I guess that is up to the individual, but I do think we need to, and put it behind us. One of my coping mechanisms in life is to block. Forgive, go on with life, and I block the bad. Love the video and the pretty green of spring. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely green upon green very pretty. The Video was fun really great! Staying angry is not a good thing for the soul I know it can be hard, but better for oneself and the other person to let go and forgive.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you find these things, I had never heard of cycle-skating and it doesn't seem easy to stop.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip

Interesting, Linda, wheels on your feet... ! Strange... !
ReplyDeleteGreen is beautiful.
Forget/-giving..., sometimes very difficult...
Lie(f)s.
Green is my favorite color too. I am waiting and waiting for the green to return to our snowy world.
ReplyDeleteLove that cycle skating, sure looks like it could be fun!
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of cycle skating. I wonder why it didn't stick around.
ReplyDeleteI had a person once who got angry at me. She was my daughter's Sunday School teacher but she was being verbally critical of my daughter in the classroom. We were homeschooling and she would make comments that were not nice. I had my daughter moved to another class. The teacher - - - even years later - - would not speak to me. I realized I had done what was the Christian thing - - apologized, forgiven, etc. She chose not to accept it. I chose not to let her attitude make my life miserable and stopped trying to reach out to her but chose to surround myself with persons who were uplifting.
Forgive, forget, move on. Some situations are not that easy, but life is too short to get caught up in battles that steal your joy.
ReplyDeleteHola, Linda:
ReplyDeleteMe ha encantado tu blog, con tu permiso me quedo y te sigo para seguir disfrutando de tus escritos.
Un abrazo.
Thank you all so much for your comments and feedback, I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI have some roller blades and I used them up to a couple of years ago...but I think I scare people when they see this ancient person bearing down on them on skates when it is obvious he doesn't have a clue as to what he is doing. Plus, I don't want to break anything at my age. Too hard to fix or replace! :)
ReplyDeleteGot to admit, though, I've never seen these cycle skates. They look harder than roller blades. Maybe only Canadians were hardy enough to use them?
Yo pienso, si alguien se enoja conmigo tiene dos trabajos, uno es el de enojarse, el otro es el de olvidar su enojo. Bonitos video y foto. Un abrazo,
ReplyDeleteI think if someone is angry with me has two jobs, one is to get angry, the other is to forget her anger. Nice video and photo. A hug,
Forty shades of green Johnny Cash.
ReplyDeleteI only ever get angry with the stupidity of the politicians who think they know what's good for us.
