Now just a quick update on what has been happening with my left ankle. So yes, it is still painful to walk, so I went to a clinic today. They did x-rays and what I have is calcium deposits there which is causing the inflammation and pain. So I have begun taking an anti-inflammatory prescription that the doctor gave me, to be taken twice per day, at meal time. That's it.
Sorry to have told you all about my ankle, I didn't want to take away from the fun and hopefully encouraging, relaxing part of my blog where I try to post things that will make you all smile. :)
Thank you all so much for visiting me here! I really appreciate and enjoy reading your thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.
Linda, I'm glad you updated us on your ankle. I'm glad the doctor figured out the problem, and I hope the medication works quickly!
ReplyDeleteThat video is amazing. I can't imagine being able to clean windows from so far up! It made me dizzy to look at it. :-)
Hi dear Tina, thank you so much! Yes, it made me feel a little dizzy, too. This is a profession I would not want...and any salary! :)
DeleteCalcium deposits! I am so glad you finally got a diagnosis! So the walking did not cause it, just maybe aggravated it. I hope the pills work!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginny.
Deletei am glad there is a diagnosis to your ankle pain which hopefully will be managed soon, hope you continue to feel better.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteEspero que pronto ese tobillo esté como nuevo. Un abrazo,

DeleteWhoa - not my kind of job at all (I get weak knees atop a stepladder !). Paneful puns in the video ;>)
ReplyDeleteHope the pills are helping.
Mine either, Rick. Stepladders even make me nervous as well. Thanks so much for your comment. :)
Deletei love looking at vintage videos. i guess i'm just nostalgic and sentimental at heart :D i hope the meds have fast results for you, and do keep us updated about the progress...

Yes, it is scary. Thank you so much, Lies.
DeleteHi Linda, hope your ankle is getting better by now. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOMG, those window cleaner....they are like spider man. And many years later only somebody invented the window cleaning gondola. But then it's still dangerous. Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice week ahead.
Good assessment, Amelia! Thank you so much for your comment.
DeleteCurioso vídeo del pasado, espero que estés mejor del tobillo
ReplyDeleteAbrazos
Thanks, Javier. :)
DeleteI feel vertigo coming on just watchinig that clip. Calcium deposits are not uncommon, and sure are painful. Glad you're on the road to controlling them.
ReplyDeleteMyself as well, Joanne! Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it.
DeleteI'm glad you have found out what the problem is and that you have the correct medication now.
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, it is a relief to know what the cause of the pain and swelling was.
DeleteHello Linda:)
ReplyDeleteHave just returned from my Easter break and found your lovely comment on my blog. Thank you Linda:)
So sorry you are in pain, and hope your medication will soon make you feel better.
I enjoyed the clip, and will return to see more. Wishing you well.
I really appreciate your visit and comment, thank you so much!
DeleteI don't care to clean windows from a stepladder...no way would I handle the job from several stories up!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you have a diagnosis on the ankle & good luck with the anti-inflammatory scrip. I can't take them without retaining a lot of water (swollen feet & legs) or hives with Celebrex, or stomach irritation. I think I've tried them all & the only one that worked was Viox, which has been taken off the market for causing heart attacks! Hope you have quick relief from your pain!
Hi Kim, I wouldn't want that job even if it was only a first floor! Thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it. :)
DeleteHi Linda, Blogs are for lots of things --including times of pain for us. Please don't apologize for talking about your ankle problem with us. By telling us, you have lots of friends praying for you. That is a GOOD thing... Hope it gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteCute video--and times really have changed, haven't they????
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Betsy, thanks so much. :) Times really have changed indeed!
DeleteHope your pain soon goes away and love the film, shucks not for me lol
ReplyDeleteNot for myself either! LOL!
DeleteThese cleaners are heroes.
ReplyDeleteYes...they sure are, Leovi. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteHi Linda, thanks for reading my blog!
ReplyDeleteThese windows cleaners are brave! Have you seen the video on how they build the building. The builders were so brave! Reminded me of monkey sitting on tree branches without fear of falling off.
Sorry to hear about your ankle problem. I suggest you take omega 3 fish oil routinely. They are good for people of our age and also it is anti-inflammatory and help to improve our immune system.
Blessing to you from half way across the globe... take care
Hi William, oh, yes, the builders were very brave! Thank you so much for your visit, comment and kind wishes!
DeleteGreta post !
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and comments....
Pierre
Merci, Pierre!
DeleteImpressive video. Did you know that for the construction of the Empire State building indians were employed who could walk on high altitudes without feeling fear. They didn't have a sense of altitude and depth view so they could not be afraid. It was a genetic exception. That's the story I heard, if it is true, who knows.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Hi Filip, I did not know that! Thanks for sharing that!
DeleteThanks for sharing. The window cleaners on the Shard looked freezing. I'm surprised there's no better way of doing it yet!
