Talkative Tuesday
Hello everyone! I have seen many blogs since I began blogging in February of 2012. They are all different and some participate in things like A to Z, contests, etc. While I think it is nice to see and read, I decided when I began my blog not to conform to any rules other than respect and consideration for others. What I mean to say is that my blog doesn't have any one or two ways to describe it, so it is difficult to categorize. However, it is a place where I can share my thoughts, news and things I like, as well as my photos with you all, and I like the element of surprise. Please don't misunderstand what I am saying here, I think it is nice to see topic blogs...photo blogs, garden blogs, pet blogs, etc. I enjoy reading them; I just decided to make my blog different so that I can share my wide range of interests. For example, my taste in music is very wide. I like some classical, I love songs from the early 1900's to 1940's, and 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. I love nature videos, clean humour, etc., so the videos I share will be depending on what I feel in the mood for on that day, so you will get a wide variety of things on my page. This means that I like to be spontaneous and often don't know what my post will be about until just a few hours before I post! This enables me to share my wide range of interests...and to be myself. So I want to thank you all for being here and for following me, I really appreciate it very much. The video I am sharing today is a soothing one...yes, it is a winter scene (I love winter and all seasons, for that matter), but if you don't want to see the winter scene, you can just listen to it while you read my blog and do what you need to do...it has soothing water sounds and there are lovely birds.
I am sharing one more video in this post...it is a one-minute video. For those of you who make pasta, you may wish to try this, I have tried it for the last several months now and it is fantastic. I don't eat much pasta, but when I make spaghettini, I use this method, it works very well!
The photo I am sharing in this post is one I took a couple of summers ago. I just loved the colour and look of it...and hope you all do as well. You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.
Thank you all so much for visiting me here! I really appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.
Hi Linda! I loved the video with ducks and swans; it certainly looks C O L D. Is this one of your own videos? I always enjoy seeing photos of the snow from my side of the world. Was it just raining or was that sleet/snow falling I wondered? Tks for stopping by my blog today :)
Hi Carole, thank you so much for your comment. No, this is not my video...I find the videos on YouTube. I have never made a video in my life, I just take photos. :) So glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it was cold, and there is definitely light snow falling there.
I like your blog very much. I have been blogging since 2005 and I have mostly used my blog as an online diary. This has come in handy when I need to refresh my memory about a doctor visit or a test.
Hi Tina, my ankle is healing very well...thanks so much! I enjoy your blog as well! So glad you enjoyed the video; it looks cold indeed but the birds seem to handle it pretty well.
Is this a Cigar tree? It is beautiful, like green starbursts!! I, too, like to learn and post about different things, and like the ability to change my mind and post about anything at the last minute. This way it is never boring, followers never know what they will find, and I like surprises! I have watched this video three times. It is so different, I have never seen a cooking technique like it. Tonight I boiled pasta for dinner and my back was killing me by the time it was done, must have taken a half hour to boil, even covered!!
I am certainly going to try the skillet method. Maybe even tomorrow night since we haven't had spagetti in awhile and that made me want some. Your pine pic would make a very nice generic Christmas card by just adding a few words!
true, i think in the end, our blog has to be about something we're passionate about, and we needn't make any apologies for it. but of course, it's great to have communities of fellow readers, including people we wouldn't have otherwise met in real life. i think we all learn a lot from each other :D
Hi Linda...nothing like the soothing sounds of nature. And your photos are excellent...I've seen that pine tree somewhere but I don't think they grow in Florida. Very nice.
And I always enjoy your blog, partly because of the variety.
Sometimes it is hard to figure out what to blog about. My blog is focused on homesteading, but I have many different interests under that category, so I couldn't just write a gardening blog or a chicken blog. I write about it all! I usually don't know what I'm going to post about until the night before either. Occasionally I'll get inspiration all at once and have several posts planned out. It's nice when that happens :)
Thats what I like about you and your blog, I dont know what to expect when I visit, only a film and photo, so congrats to you Linda. I dont visit as much, because I don't blog so much, working on my photos takes time, and also visit Face book now quite a bit also.
Please do not be shy! I appreciate your kind comments, they are sweet treasures and really make my day! Spammers, do not waste your time, I delete your comments and they do not even show on my blog. Comment moderation is enabled. I do hope that Blogger's changes in the way of proving that you are not a robot do not deter you from commenting! Thank you so much! If you have Google+ and are only allowing Google+ users to comment on your blog, I do not have, nor do I want it. And if you use DISQUS for accepting comments on your blog I don't have that, either, nor do I want it. Thanks!
Hi Linda!
ReplyDeleteI, like you, can't contain my blog to one specific topic or style. I rather like it that way and enjoy your blog very much!
Hi Jill, thank you so much for your comment, and I really enjoy your blog as well!

ReplyDeleteLovely scene in the video clip:) I find watching ducks very relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Being boxed in on writing is not for me. Thats why I eventually added a second blog... to diversify. :)
