I believe we got a slinky for Christmas the first year they came out. They fascinated my dad.

My husband, Bill, is a long haul trucker. He learned the trick about wrapping bananas by accident. It does work! Love the cat art!
ReplyDeleteI like the bagpipe song! The title sounds like a funeral song, but it does have a fast tempo.I am off to find the words.
ReplyDeleteI like Shelagh's work. And that bagpipe tune of course is quite well known.
ReplyDeleteIn the 2nd Ace Ventura movie he uses a slinky on one of the giant south american pyramids and it stops at the very last step.
ReplyDeleteAmazin thoughts. I wish I can print all the quotes and hang them on the wall:)
ReplyDeleteHello Linda!
ReplyDeleteMarvellous videos and pictures, but, specifically the video about The Alzeimer has moved me a lot. I'll probably be more sensiive about this problem.

Hello Linda! I like the tip about a way of keeping your bananas for longer and thanks for featuring the artist and one of her paintings. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteThat is probably one of the most moving A's advertisements I've seen...so beautiful and yet so sad. I remember that Slinky advertisement, and another lovely painting...Happy day Linda
ReplyDeleteTouching video, Linda..., the commercial...
ReplyDeleteLittle things, yes..., 'we' notice them...
Lie(f)s.
That's interesting regarding the bananas. I put mine in the fridge when they start to get too ripe.
ReplyDeleteInsightful as always.
ReplyDeleteGot a good laugh from the first vide, the second video brought tears to my old eyes, I had a slinky when I was a child, the pictures in the bagpipe video were great as were all the quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if preserving the bananas longer means I won't be getting any banana bread?
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing the work of Shelagh Duffett, another artist that I'm not familiar with :)
ReplyDeleteThailand...one of the countries forever in my mind since visiting there many times in my life. Thanks for stirring some great memories my friend.
