I took the following photos in 2010. This blue heron was, as herons are, elusive and stayed very still like a statue, so I almost didn't see the bird. Thankfully I did, though, and managed to take these photos. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.
The videos I have selected for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Amazing Newt, Piano Solo by Masako
Elephant Plays a Friendly Game of Catch
Exotic Birds - Great White Egret
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

ReplyDeleteOh I love herons too, they are so elegant, silent and serene. I wish I would see them more often. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteHow very true, that last one! Quality, not quantity.
ReplyDeleteTout est beau et les photos sont trop mignonnes.
ReplyDeleteBon mardi Linda
Your heron is a natural model, and photo #1, with the reflection and grasses, like what Goldilocks said " Just Right". Lovely shades and the setting is perfect. Jean.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the herons - and your customary eclectic mix of links! good point about friends - and I think social media has much to answer for in that respect!
ReplyDeletebeautiful bird and photos!

Nice captures of the blue heron! Those birds are hard to catch in the wild, and they don't usually hang aroud for photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat videos and quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline

The elephant's quite a character. I enjoy watching herons... their focus and concentration is quite remarkable.
ReplyDeleteWe have quite a few herons here...delightful birds! Egrets we don't see so often in our state but when we do see them they're so stately.
ReplyDeleteI love herons. One of my favorite birds, but definitely hard to catch with the camera. :)
ReplyDeleteFrequently watch pictures and movies. But sometimes, when I have more time, I read your blog. I like these lyrics. I think you're a very friendly woman.
