I used to bowl in a duckpin league when I was in my late 20's and early 30's. I loved it, and my highest score was 222. I am not a big sports fan, but I do love to watch the PBA (Professional Bowler's Association) tour, as I actually understand the game very well, as I have bowled myself. I love to watch figure skating, I find it very relaxing and enjoyable.
I cannot wear wool, as I have very sensitive skin, so I opt for polar wear and other materials that don't irritate my skin.
Please stay tuned, because I will be sharing more about myself, and in more depth, in tomorrow's post. Thank you so much for listening. :)

Funny video, the lady with the balloon, what joy she brings and I enjoyed the others also. Thanks also for the inspiration words that really make us think. Such a lot of thank you for :)
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI like your way of thinking. I'm sorry for the osteoarthritis, and it must be pretty chilly getting around Montreal at the moment. I love your city.
Take care,
Barbara
The brighter pink camellia is lovely as are the words.
ReplyDeleteCan relate to wanting nice fabric next to the skin. My mother was allergic to wool.
I presume when bowling, you mean 10 pin. I used to play also in competitions long ago :) It's lovely to read about you.
j'admire l'artiste de ballon mais le bruit des ballons qui grince ça me fait mal aux oreilles :)
ReplyDeletebisous et douce semaine
Bonjour
ReplyDeleteje passe te souhaiter une bonne journée
Bisous
Hi Linda, I too have to choose fabric. I have to avoid those non sweat absorbent ones. I sweat a lot and wrong fabric causes skin problem. I like the balloon video, I know how a do a few twists and made the children in church school very happy.
ReplyDeleteHe he... So many kids bullied an old man. ;)
ReplyDeleteIndeed, this world would be a much better place if everyone could show a little bit more love and compassion...
ReplyDeleteOh Princess Sassy Pants, you got me again. Our kids and dh did 5 pin bowling while growing up. They still bowl (both 5 and 10 pin) occasionally.
ReplyDeleteGreat words of wisdom Linda.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Linda! When I was a boy I loved to watch a television show called Duckpins For Dollars. I played duckpins a few times and bowled at tenpins lanes close to my home. I also enjoyed watching televised PBA tournaments as well as a program called Make That Spare in which pro bowlers attempted to convert difficult spares for cash prizes. I also love to watch figure skating.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite video today was about the power of the lowly lemon to elevate our spirits, giving new meaning to that familiar adage about life giving us lemons.
Thank you very much, dear friend Linda, and have a happy Monday!
thank you for sharing more tidbits about yourself! i'm not a fan of sports in general, but bowling is OK for me, since it's not too strenuous and it's indoors. i must admit, i'm a bad bowler though! :)
ReplyDeleteI do believe that bitter trials are blessings in disguise. I'm always happier, stronger, and wiser afterwards. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI am interested to see what you will reveal tomorrow. You are a mysterious woman. :)
Hi Linda - thank you for visiting my blog - I read your profile and some of the words struck a chord with me - like trying to live for the moment and being a person of few words - a bit like me!
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda,
ReplyDeleteLa dame avec les ballons est extraordinaire!! Quel talent..
Bisous ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ ❤

Yet another similarity between you and I - I can't wear wool next to my skin either...it really itches!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all these wonderfully inspirational videos and quotes. I realize I've said that before...but they never cease to inspire me! :)
xoxoxo

ReplyDeleteMy son is a very good bowler and actually went bowling with some of his friends over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day, Linda.
Thanks for another great post! xx
Do you believe in humans. That was cute.
ReplyDeleteje te remercie por mes infos personnelles...
ReplyDelete"acceptance " me plaît beaucoup
greetings
Thanks for sharing some more about yourself. Enjoyed all the videos and quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteI haven't bowled in many years...I was never serious though...just for fun. It's bitterly cold here with wind...still no snow though...I'm counting my blessings!
ReplyDeleteThe Accecptance video looks like it was shot here in the Pacific NW.
ReplyDeleteI can't wear wool, either, and both my mother and my husband have spent big bucks on items of wool. It's not a phase, people!
ReplyDeleteMy middle son and his girlfriend of eight years are balloon artists; he is also a magician. They also do face painting at parties as a sideline. It's pretty lucrative when there is work. I'm amazed at some of the stuff they do.
very nice post !
ReplyDeletealways the best post ever possible....
ReplyDeleteDedy@Dentist Chef
Old man kidnapped by kids - so funny.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wear wool unless I wear a cotton shirt underneath.
I bowled a couple of times as a child, but it wasn't particularly an activity we got into. I know one of the other branches of the family, a number of cousins, were more serious about it.
ReplyDeleteWe love figure skating and used to watch all the shows. But lately we have kind of lost touch and don't know the skaters. I also used to love duckpins! It is easy on the shoulders and more senior friendly. I am enjoying getting to know you!
ReplyDeleteWow, you scored 222! That's amazing! I've played bowl in the past a little..but I'm not good at all. I enjoy watching figure skating, too.
ReplyDeleteThe image of Princess Sassy Pants & Co is so cute. Unicorns asking that question. So funny!
Hello Linda:)

ReplyDeleteThe gag..., what can you do, Linda ??? as it goes that fast ?
ReplyDeleteThe epic old man, is very nice Linda, and the piano music is indeed calming. Greetings from Edward.
ReplyDeleteThe Little Things in Life is a wonderful truism Linda. And the quote from Karen Salmansohn is very good advice indeed. Please keep finding these gems to share with your readers.
ReplyDelete"Do you believe in humans?" hee hee!
ReplyDeleteI love the balloon artist and all of her creations! :-))
ReplyDeleteles images sont très belles, les secrets de la mer magnifique
ReplyDeleteWools irritates my skin too:)Thank you for putting a smile on my face today, soothing my soul with the music and for the quotes that speaks to my heart.
ReplyDeleteLoved it that that one man got the license plate number! He's a thinker! I've never bowled, but I've wondered if it would be fun...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the fun videos! And the inspiring words. That balloon artist is amazing! Thanks for the lemon tips...I should stock up more lemons.
ReplyDeleteLove your video's Linda what a hoot!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and learning about you more each day x
Though I never played on a team, I used to enjoy bowling for fun myself (it's near impossible for me physically these days) as a child and teen, and have been allergic to wool my whole life, so that's two more things we have in common, dear Linda.
ReplyDeleteCountless hugs coming your way,
♥ Jessica
