I love to do crossword puzzles, especially the mixed ones...Syllacrostics, etc. I do not like the Sudoku ones, though. I enjoy brain teasers, especially ones from Binary Arts...Rush Hour was a favourite of mine for a long time! If a puzzle is too easy I get bored, and if it is too difficult I get frustrated, (LOL!), so I prefer the challenge, but not the too difficult ones.
I enjoy magazines such as: Taste of Home, Country Woman, Our Canada, Woman's World, Reminisce and Reader's Digest. I love to browse through old magazines, and when I say old I mean very old...such as from the early 1900's to 1960's! :)
I love things from the Victorian era (clothing, furniture, etc.) Thanks so much for listening. :)
The videos I have selected for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Laughter Attack at Bus Stop
Woman's Half Bedroom Apt. has Awesome Design
Watermelon Agua Fresca
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.
Hello! I also like to do crossword puzzles, but not even try any sudoku.I am not a number person : ) The magazines you read are similar to my favorities, only Reader's Digest is not to my taste.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the videos again. Have a very nice week!
passe une bonne semaine
ReplyDeleteThe gag today is not my favorite. I don't think it's nice to make fun of people because of the way they look, even if this was just meant to be funny. The laughing was great though! And I enjoyed the tour of the ultra-small apartment. Makes me feel like I need to get rid of more stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeletethese 3 reasons a "dark chocolate" to eat, are really very convincing.
Beautiful beginning of the week for you.
Sadie
I subscribe to the Reader's Digest. My daughter enjoys reading.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I love old things as well. If I had lived in the Victorian Era, I would have wanted to be wealthy though! We have snirt, but I think most has melted now. I am printing the "Take what was meant to defeat you" for today. I need that one.
ReplyDeleteDeb
I am dreaming of a nice chilling glass of watermelon juice in this extremely hot weather we are having here. Nice words from the Little Things in Life.

My sister is crazy on crossword puzzles!
ReplyDeleteLove the 1/2 bedroom set up. She really knows what she is doing. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your post today. My mom loves to do the word searches. We keep her supplied with them! I too love the Victorian era! Thinking about redoing my little room as I call it (computer, sewing machine and etc) in Victorian. It actually has that feel now but maybe going a little more vintage. But mercy, I am trying to re-vamp my laundry room and just got through with the living room! I might better slow down. I am about to become overwhelmed writing it! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteSome funny videos this morning, Linda. And "Snirt" I'm familiar with having lived in Minnesota for a number of years! Wishing you a good crossword for today! And thanks for your very nice comment this morning on L & L Photography.
ReplyDeleteI always find it fascinating looking at or even holding older items, they have their own energy. Great post!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Those models judging the guys makes my day. Especially the old guy who got 10s!!!!! :-) Your blog is great! John
ReplyDeleteThe Laughter Attack got me laughing too.
ReplyDelete"If a puzzle is too easy I get bored, and if it is too difficult I get frustrated, (LOL!), so I prefer the challenge, but not the too difficult ones." - You fall into the Goldilocks principle.
Linda, I had to chuckle at the Snirt...I always heated that about winter. The snow was beautiful when it came down, but very ugly as it melted or got plowed up into your yard and driveway.
ReplyDeleteI knew there was a reason I loved dark chocolate! Now I have an excuse to eat more. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Taste Of Home, and now I will have to hunt for Country Woman!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing more about yourself. Enjoyed all the videos and quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteCoucou Linda,
ReplyDeleteLe jus de melon met vraiment l'eau à la bouche et me rappelle les vacances...
Bisous et bon lundi
Manon
ooo, we have a different perspective about crossword puzzles ... i always get stumped at them, and i never manage to work them out, so i get easily frustrated and abandon the puzzles halfway :)
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy crossword puzzles but Sudoku too !
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Linda
I like doing crosswords. Sudoku never appealed to me.
ReplyDeleteI think puzzle games are good to stimulate the brain! Though, I agree, if it's too difficult, it gets frustrating :-)
ReplyDeleteThe image and quote from The Little Things in Life are very sweet. Happy Monday!
Resilience is a very major issue. And dark chocolate, of course;-) Linda, thank you for stopping by my blog. Really appreciate it. Sabina | Oceanblue Style
ReplyDeleteI love how we are getting to know you better!!!
ReplyDeletej'aime bien le chocolat Linda...
ReplyDeleteet je peut passer des heures avec le soduko..
greetings
Loved those videos. The one with the laughing attack reminded me of a time when I was in the NY subway when all the lights went out leaving a car full of passengers in total darkness for a few minutes. A little child said, innocently, "Mommy, do you think we will ever get out of here alive." Someone started laughing and it was infectious. People couldn't stop laughing until the lights went on and everyone just suddenly resumed the usual practice of ignoring everyone around them as if nothing had happened..
ReplyDeleteI LOVE sudokus! I am addicted to killer sudokus especially and the harder the better, lol.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video of the 1.5 bedroom apartment, it gave me some ideas for my own small place.
I'm about to take your advice Linda. I'm opening a bar of 70% dark chocolate. Mmmm Thank You.
