Thursday Thoughts
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Costa Rica in 4K (Ultra HD)
Old Fashioned Buttermilk Fried Chicken (crispy and delicious)
Stranger Shows Girl with Autism Kindness while on a Plane
The Origin of Mental Health Stigma
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Depression isn't a choice, but stigma and ignorance are. - Matt Haig
Motivation is something has has to come from within. Someone can help you light the fire. But you've got to keep it burning. Cherish that flame. Don't let anyone blow it out. You're in control of how bright you shine. - Cassey Ho
Hello Linda, It has been quite a while since I visited your blog... I spend my time in nature watching and photographing animals!! Thanks you for your king comments on my blog and for sharing all those thoughts with us! Naturally I was very impressed with magnificent Costa Rica, we were supposed to get there in january but since we still haven't sold our french property we are stuck here... :( Keep well, love from France :)
Good morning Linda! I have to say that when I click into your profile and see your profile photo, I just smile and laugh, seeing that cat look in the mirror only to see a LION! LOVE THAT.....
Your shares today are diverse and fun. I truly loved rereading Meryl Streep's piece. I think it is good when many of us come to a point where we have weeded out what is truly important to live happily and contribute something meaningful of ourselves to the world. Bravo for her, bravo for any of us who have learned this, the hard way.
The old lady rocker in the gag video reminds me of a television show I saw in the early 60s in which an old man became young again when he heard "The Twist." He threw away his cane and performed the dance perfectly. Costa Rica looks like a beautiful place and I'd love to see it someday. The man who played with the autistic girl on a plane flight deserves all the praise he is getting because it isn't easy to be that patient and set aside your own interests for 2.5 hours. I also appreciated the report on the origin of the mental health stigma. People with mental health issues should not have to hide in the shadows.
Costa Rica Is a beautiful place but it has to many snakes. Love the old lady rocker in the gag video. The man you played with the autistic girl on the plane deserves a medal. Love all the quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
Linda, Love the buttermilk fried chicken and the Costa Rica videos. As for life, I just try to enjoy every day...shrug off the unpleasant or ugly parts...and keep on keeping on. Keeping busy is a key, that's for sure. The blog is certainly one hobby and also an outlet. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Oh wow...that quote by Meryl Streep really blew me away! There is so much wisdom in her words...and I really needed to read this today. It has clarified so much of the confusion in my mind. Thank you, dear Linda, for all these wonderful, magical postings. They are awesome!:)
Linda, you just made my day with the Train Passengers Sing Over the Rainbow. Believe it or not, I was singing along with the song. The people were singing along and enjoyed it greatly. That is what life is all about, enjoyment with each other. Have a beautiful lovely Friday my friend. See ya.
