Monday Melody and a New Poll!
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! I have added a new poll, which you will find on the right hand column of my blog, right beneath the translator. Thank you all so much for taking the time to vote in my polls, I really appreciate it! :) The videos I have selected for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Tortoise is the Star of Walton Co. Nursing Home
Food Lovers Bed and Breakfasts - B&B Ireland
Snorkeling at Secret Harbor - St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Keep your heart filled with gratitude for all you have today...there's so much to be thankful for!
Be strong. Speak up and refuse to let others hurt you. In your life, some will discredit you, disrespect you and treat you poorly - for no apparent reason at all. Don't consume yourself with trying to change them or win their approval. And don't make any space in your heart to hate them. You don't have control other what others think about you. But you do have control over how you decide to internalize their opinions. Let people love you for who you are - not for who they want you to be. Or let them walk away. They can't harm you either way. It's their understanding that is faulty, not yours.
I've seen better days, but I've also seen worse. I don't have everything I want, but I do have a lot to be grateful about. I woke up with some aches, but I woke up. My life may not be perfect, but I am blessed.
Good morning, dear Linda! I'm still poorly but have come to visit you nevertheless. I also took your new poll. The gag video is hilarious. That porta-potty is used in numerous prank scenarios and the looks on the faces were priceless as the old fellow got soaked by sprinklers. Some people mistakenly call them turtles and it was inspiring to watch the news report about Shelly, the therapy tortoise. With a life span of a hundred years or more, the animal will have the opportunity to bring whimsy and hope to countless shut-ins. Mrs. Shady is part Irish and I will forward to her the video about the Irish Bed & Breakfast. I'm sure she will want to plan a trip there. In 1990, Mrs. Shady and I visited the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Saint Thomas snorkeling video brought back happy memories of our vacation in neighboring Saint Croix.
That was another wonderful post Linda. I liked the service turtle video and the snorkeling one especially. You always give us a lovely variety. Thank you so much and have a great week.
Lots of fun stuff to give us a good start on the week. I haven't been snorkeling in a long time...the video reminded me how much fun it is; and i loved the gag of course and so many of the wonderful posters! But today's favorite was the Canada skeleton!
I said "yes" to thrift shops because almost all of my clothes come from eBay. I'm not sure if that counts! I find great deals on eBay, plus I can do all my shopping from the comfort of my sofa!
Ha! Love the chalk art. The "happy place" poster is so me. Give me anything with chocolate, and I'm in my happy place. I do occasionally shop in thrift stores. I'm not much of a shopper, though, so I usually go to regular stores, where things are more traditionally organized, so I can find what I want and get out quickly.
Hi Linda. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for leaving a comment. It is pretty quiet over there. :) I love the last Princess Sassy Pants print you posted. So good. Have a great day! Jill from http://thejabberquebec.blogspot.com
We enjoyed the video Snorkeling at Secret Harbor !!!! Is very beautiful !!!! And we were very happy to read your comment on our blog !!! Thank you for visiting !!! Have a nice week Linda !!!! A meow of Frida and Sofia
Today's gag was really funny! I do sometimes look for things at thrift shops, not usually clothes, but yarn or knitting supplies. I recently found a lot of yarn that I've been using for my Hats for the Homeless project!
So glad to able to visit you blog again. I had a busy week plus I'm getting ready for trip. Thank you for the wonderful quotes...so encouraging and comforted by those words. You're amazing!
However there is one badtrend emerging here where some "bad" shop started to use the word "charity" to get people to shop there whereas the actual amount donated to charity is not much
Please do not be shy! I appreciate your kind comments, they are sweet treasures and really make my day! Spammers, do not waste your time, I delete your comments and they do not even show on my blog. And if you use DISQUS for accepting comments on your blog I don't have that, either, nor do I want it. Thanks!
