Tuesday Cheer
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! I made an extra and special post today, and here is the link. Special Note to all my Readers and Friends The videos I have selected for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Stanford Inn Christmas Lights Entrance
Gap of Dunloe, Killarney, Ireland
Holiday DIY - How to Make a Snow Globe
It's So Nice to be with You - Gallery
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. It's time for cozy fires, candlelight and hot cocoa...it's sweater weather!
Stop holding onto people who keep letting go of you. Pay attention to faithful people. The ones you don't have to impress. The ones who always have your back. The ones who love you with no strings attached.
I enjoyed the tour of the Stanford Inn all decked out for Christmas. Mrs. Shady and I were early to bed last night and early to rise because I needed to drive her to another city for eye surgery. As we drove through our town in the pre-dawn darkness we were stunned to see the main street lined with Christmas decorations, block after block of trees and bushes and houses with strings of colored lights on them all glowing in the dark and lighting our way out of town. It was breathtaking! Mrs Shady is part Irish and we have often talked about visiting Ireland. Gap of Dunloe, Killarney, looks like a lovely, natural, peaceful, relaxing setting. I think it's been thirty years or more since I last heard "Nice To Be With You," the hit single by Gallery, the Detroit sextet led by Jim Gold. The record made it into the top 5 in the late spring and early summer of 1972 and stayed on the chart an impressive 13 weeks!
I'm sorry you're having trouble getting the JFL gags. I do enjoy them. So does my hubby. But I know you'll continue to have an uplifting and enjoyable blog even if they become unavailable.
Dear Linda, you are so kind to go to all this trouble over the gags. I fear it might be a move on their part for more monetization! Argh ~ maybe I listen to CNBC , financial channel too much! I'm enjoying your music videos. I like to play them as I read through the quotes, so I appreciate where you place them in the blog. Terry told me that he has biked the full circuit in the Gap of Dunloe. It looks wonderful. Loved the Christmas lights.
So many wonderful quotes. If someone wounds you, a kind gesture of response to that person, can make you feel better too. Lots of times when people strike out, you are not the target. Our world is so hyper reactive and stressful.
I've been so behind in everything and barely lurching forward. forward is forward felt like a blessing.
Hugs to you, my Montreal friend. Have an awesome day!
Believe it or not, I have actually been hiking in the Gap of Dunloe in Ireland before! I can confirm that it really is that beautiful! And I definitely agree that there are some days when I only feel like talking to my dog or cat, haha--especially during the holiday season when there are soooo many people around!
It’s lovely to come and visit your blog and read wonderful quotations and watch your great selection of videos. It is a breath of fresh air after watching the News on TV!
I'm still feeling amazed by your video about Ireland, I wonder how much I do love it ! Everything here is always so refreshing, fun and deep in the meanwhile ... Thank you my blessed Linda, you're truly wonderful !
Have a marvellous remainder of your week, sending big big tender hugs Dany
