Wonder Filled Wednesday
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Christmas Recipes - How to Make Brown Sugar Ham
Animals in Mirrors - Hilarious Reactions
A Victorian Christmas at the Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth
Everything is Beautiful - Ray Stevens
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Raindrops keep falling on my head. But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red. Crying's not for me because I'm never going to stop the rain by complaining. Because I'm free. Nothing's worrying me. - Song by B.J. Thomas
Be careful not to live like a zombie - waking up, carrying out habits and going to sleep - only to wake up and do it again. Make sure you do more than merely exist. Make sure you feel alive.
Accept that not everyone will understand you, that every soul is its own equation. While you may be little more than senseless gibberish to some, others will need only a single look to get a grasp of who you are. Never dull, dumb down or adjust yourself to fit somewhere you don't belong.
The gag video was very funny. Imagine reaching out to pet a dear little kitten and hearing it emit a loud deep bark like an attack dog! Mrs. Shady is fond of cooking ham and I will pass along this Christmas recipe for brown sugar ham. I didn't like the piece using a large mirror to confuse wild animals. It enraged them and they could have injured themselves. We often tried to get our dog Toto to look at herself in the mirror but for some reason she wouldn't do it, nor did she watch TV like some dogs do. The Victorian decorations at Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth are stunning. Traditional decorations are my favorite kind. How well I remember Ray Stevens' song "Everything is Beautiful," a chart topping hit in the spring of 1970.
Lots of nice words today, Linda. I hope they will answer you about the gag videos. Sometimes I can't see things from FB here, but I don't think I've ever had a problem on your blog.
The one about goals is all too important. I've realized that I often celebrate getting a book deal, but I don't celebrate the REAL accomplishment, which is finishing a book in the first place. That's the only part of the process I can control, and it's a LOT of work.
Linda, through my own life experiences I find this quote so true. "A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you. - Joyce Meyer"
Enjoyed reading and looking today. I loved the decor at the Museum. WOW! And yes indeed...Love is the answer. Without love we don't have anything. Happy Wednesday. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Hola Linda, e estado de viaje y no e podido visitarte. Me encanta la mayoría de cosas que nos pones y por eso muchas gracias. Un enorme beso y se muy feliz.
Not sure about the value of the experiment of animals in the mirror Linda. They seem to be unfairly stressed out by the experience. However I did enjoy your dords of advice, especially that there is something of the marvelous in nature.
Haha! And to think that in Cuab we thuoght we had invented the "sugared" ham. We don't use brown sugar, though. Just normal, white sugar until it caramelises on top of the ham. I used to love it when I was little.
Hi Linda! Thanks for your visit and sweet comment! It is such a pleasure to discover your blog, I love your posts, they always make me laugh! Hugs from Serbia
I liked many of the quotes on here today, Linda. "Always follow the path" was I think my favorite. "Accept that not everyone will understand you" was another favorite. I think that sometimes people don't get us, but then there is that one who clicks with us and gets us right away. And I loved "In all things of nature" because nature makes me smile like no other place.
I noticed on your side bar asking what our favorite flower is......need you ask me? haha. Roses, but of course.
I don't think my dog ever gave much reaction to the mirror. But the only one she ever saw as the bathroom's. She was too worried about ending up in the bathtub. Big baby is scared of water.
So true about being happy with every step you take towards your end goal, not just accomplishing the goal itself! Thanks for that wonderful reminder today, Linda. :)
I will have to return to finish all the cute vids. First of the first one I would be too shy to do that one twice. I don't like to be made fun of but the rest were fun. I already make my own cards. Some Victorian and lacy and some not. thank you for visiting my blog. MB
Please do not be shy! I appreciate your kind comments, they are sweet treasures and really make my day! Spammers, do not waste your time, I delete your comments and they do not even show on my blog. Comment moderation is enabled. I do hope that Blogger's changes in the way of proving that you are not a robot do not deter you from commenting! Thank you so much! Good morning, dear Linda!
