Our office used to have a neck/back masseuse come in every Wednesday. For 15 minutes and a few dollars, one had a little slice of heaven. The masseuse told me that she could feel how empathic and emotional I was, and she told me that if she didn't cry daily, all of those feelings would overwhelm her. I do not cry every day, but when I'm down or sad/mad/frustrated, I no longer stop myself from crying. Let it out!

I was familiar with the story of Tarra and Bella, but it was touching to see it again. I hope Tarra has found a new best friend since losing Bella. That was certainly a unique relationship.

ReplyDeleteLinda, Love that elephant dog buddy story! It was also touching when the other elephants brought food to Tara to try to comfort her... Viewing that Coca Cola ad sure gives one a sense of just how much society has changed in the last 60 years. As for Lady's adoption, I wonder if that family in Florida would like to adopt an old geezer? They could pick me up here in East Tennessee whenever they want! Nice ending for Lady, that's for sure! ReplyDeleteHello Linda! Oh my, that elephant story...Animals are such sentient beings. Wow. That is really a sad and touching story. I hope they found another fur angel for the sweet elephant. Isn't it so sweet the way the fellow elephants were comforting her? Many animals are better friends and mommies then humans right?

"You can't build a reputation on what you're going to do" - that's correct, but you can get a Nobel Prize which could build you a reputation(Obama got a Nobel Prize at the very beginning of his activity at the White House).

I wonder why they picked a kitten in the snowflake video, other than it was a cute ending, as any cats/kittens I've seen really detest any snow or rain falling on them with a passion and shake them off :o)
