ReplyDeleteLinda, The dog hospice story is very sweet. I don't know how people who work with an animal (or people) hospice handle the constant feeling of loss or sadness. The feeling of helping is a plus but it takes a remarkable person to handle the downside of a hospice.

I've read a few stories about a cat or dog that go elsewhere to get some sleep or a meal, then go back home again. How wonderful that the neighbor is confident enough to simply allow the dog to wander in and out.

ReplyDeleteThe first video really got to me, what an incredible lady she is to take in over 70 dogs in the last stages of their lives. Her heart must be so big and full of love constantly for these poor dogs. What a wonderful final experience of life she's giving them.

Those laughing babies scared the cats here when it first started, which made me laugh that much harder!
ReplyDeleteFor a while now i've been trying to train myself to think of all the things that can go right, and i think it's starting to help.
Playing catchup! The hospice for dogs and laughing babies lifted my spirits. I had a rough go of it yesterday, because for the first time I got discouraged and felt like I was on the downhill slide and not able to reverse it. Thanks for the reminder that I should measure myself against myself and that if I did it before, I can do it again. Your posts always have things that speak to my heart.
