Mid-Week Splendour
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: This post will be a little different from my usual posts in that I am sharing some of my favourite songs with you! I hope you all enjoy them! :) In the Summer Sun of Greece - A La Carte
I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do - Abba
I've Been Searching So Long - Chicago
You Don't Have to Be a Star - Billy Davis Jr. and Marilyn McCoo
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Never trust your fears, they don't know your strength.
I remember those songs, came here twice in order to listen, friend L ... and enjoyed the sayings as well ... Thank you for making me smile ... Love, cat.
Dear Linda, I don't know what I enjoyed the most. The pain is real but hope is too really grabbed my attention this morning and i need to share that with a dear friend today. Love the In the summer sun of Greece and you don't have to be a star. Had me singing this morning. Hope you have a great day Linda. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Such a great set of encouraging words and fun music, Linda! Each one brought a smile to my heart. This may sound corny, but you touch my heart with each edition. Also, sometimes when my chemical depression kicks in and my "logic" doesn't see me completely through the haze, I think of you, and what would you do. It really does help me keep on going, knowing I'm not alone, and that you care deeply for others, even when you are sorta trapped in the nightmare of "not-caring-ness". It's strange to be there - because we DO care so much, but then, there is something slightly deadening the caring part - sometimes it makes me feel like I'm a fake - but I'm not - it's just me, fighting through the haze. Thanks for letting me share - maybe I put TMI here today LOL xxxxx
Love all your choice of songs but sadly cannot listen to them here as you know. Your post always bring a smile to my face and how true is 'The most important things in life aren't things.' A wonderful saying. Well done Linda and keep well Diane
Really enjoyed the music. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!! Loves all of the quotes, too, but I am always partial to Mark Twain. Thank you, Linda!!
Thank you for more wonderful choices today Linda. I always wanted to go to Greece and I love listening to Abba. Enjoyed the others too and always those wonderfully wise words. Have a great day my friend :)
Linda, With Abba a big hit on Broadway...plus a related movie, their music is pretty current right now despite the years. I liked your other selections too but I did have to look up A' La Carte...that Euro Girl Group. I'd never heard of them before but I noted that they recorded a lot of popular North American music... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Linda, I love the "passion" quote and the design, it's so pretty. I think it's a great idea to share some of your favorite songs. I've always loved music, and would love to hear different tunes.
Hi Linda, Music always does good. The happy tunes can I sing along too :-) Very nice chose these clips. The text phrases are also carefully selected and there are therefore very nice spells between.
It's so true, Linda, you can never give up! I was having this discussion with one of my friends at the gym today. I loved the musical selections in your post today! Sending you more love and hugs!
