Monday Summer Breeze
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are: How to Pick the Perfect Watermelon
Elephant Stuck in the Middle of the Ocean - Incredible Rescue
This Music Video About Senior Dogs Will Melt Your Heart
The Food Lab: How to Roast the Best Potatoes of Your Life
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Live simply. Choose happiness and be grateful.
When you feel like giving up...it's going to get better...yes, it will! Think positive...it will all work out. You must keep trying. Don't let a few setbacks get in the way of your dreams.
Today know that you are good enough. Stop worrying if you are pretty enough, strong enough, rich enough, smart enough...you must know that you are enough. Don't let negative thoughts have power over you...take a deep breath and know that you matter and you are enough.
Things to give up! People pleasing, negative self-talk, self-doubt, criticizing yourself, fear of failure and complaining. Find your blessings, and there you will find your joy.
Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worse moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The Spring will come. - Robert H. Schuller
Hi Linda, I could use the tips for choosing the right watermelon. I am glad the elephant has been brought back to shore by these kind people. I am now drooling over the baked potatoes. Have a beautiful new week!
Thank you Linda for this wonderful post. This is what I particularly like: Live simply. Choose happiness and be grateful.- I hope that your housing problems will be soon settled. - Have a good week and greetings from Finland.
Hello Linda, I just love the doggy video and the music that goes with it! Lovely to see the rescue of the elephant, there really are some good folks around the world. Those are wise words from Robert H. Schuller. The roast potatoes look delicious. I'm not sure I could use the garlic though, it has a tendency to upset my tummy!
Hello, I love the sweet old dogs, great video. Your inspiring post and images are lovely. Thanks for sharing. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
Hello Linda I just can't believe it's Monday again! Loved all of your video choices today, what a good selection for us. I also appreciated the quote 'Make some time for yourself today, to relax, reflect and revive your spirit.'
Recuerdo en mi niñez ver como asaban las patatas en los rescoldos de la lumbre y después de quitarlas la piel echar la sal. Espero se resuelvan pronto sus problemas de vivienda.
Thanks for the tips on watermelon Linda. It's not a fruit we eat a lot, but when we make the effort I agree it can make a nice chaange from the usual. Roasties - just love them, far better than fries.
Linda, Thanks for sending out the lesson in how to pick out that perfect watermelon. My last one was a disaster! That Sri Lankan rescue of the elephant was in the news here...very cool! FYI...being as senior as I am, I do understand how those senior dogs feel. Finally, thanks for the lesson on making the best roasted potatoes as they are among my favorite food items! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
I tried to leave a message early this morning before we left home at sparrow to say hope all is well but for some reason it would not go through. Now heading for bed after a rubbish day. Lovely post as always well done. Diane
The watermelon video was helpful! Friday at the supermarket three different customers and the produce clerk came by while I was trying to pick the perfect one ... every one of them had a different opinion. This info will make me more sure of myself next time!
The videos were heartwarming (elephant/dogs) and helpful (watermelons/potatoes), Linda. You always lift me up, and I hope that you are having a great Tuesday.
I didn't know about the bee webbing on watermelon or that watermelons were sexually dimorphic. I cannot wait to try that potato recipe, although I'll probably use dried herbs except for garlic. I find the fresh herbs are often too expensive.
I often worry about if I'm productive enough ~ how sad is that! LOL
