Home is Where the Heart is

We often hear the expression, "Home is where the heart is."  Another term we often hear is "Home sweet home".  Since none of us are exactly the same, and it would be boring if we were, (LOL), these terms are never the same and are geared to what each individual visualizes and interprets as being "home" to him/her.

For this post, I thought I would share some photos of things that I personally like and that make me feel "at home", so to speak.  I hope you all enjoy the photos...which are ones that I found on the internet.

A nice cup of tea in the company of good friends.

The next photo...I just liked the setting and atmosphere;  it looks warm and welcoming to me.

The next photo...there are several things I love about it.  For one thing, the colour...forest green.  It reminds me of nature, gives me a sense of calm and peace.  The flower is pretty and fragrant and this photo also reminds me of something I love...ponds!  Koi ponds, turtle ponds, duck ponds...I just love ponds!

I guess this next photo doesn't need too much of a description...I just find it soothing and beautiful.  I love the ocean...the sounds, smell and movement.

Last photo for today's post.  Although we never had a breakfast nook in my childhood and even as an adult I never had one, I have always loved them...and this photo makes me feel quite at home!

Thank you all so much for visiting me here, you are all most welcome, and I really appreciate your presence here!  I hope that you enjoyed these photos, and I look forward to your own responses on what is "home" to you!  Please click on the "comments" link at the end of my post to share.

  9. As a person who lives a lot out of suitcases and likes to travel light, I maintain that home is where your stuff is. Ahhhh. And I had a friend teach me to rid my surroundings of things I didn't just absolutely love, so coming home is very nice, indeed, no matter how simple my stuff may be. Lovely post.
