Childhood Memories

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for your comments on my last post.  The Parti Quebecois DID win the election....however, by a minority vote.  What this means is that people here want a change, but that doesn't mean they want separation.  We will have to wait and see how things go.

My post today is about GOOD childhood memories.  What are some of yours?  What were your most enjoyable childhood moments?  I would really enjoy hearing from you all.

Some of mine are:  roast dinners with my parents, some board games like Monopoly and Chinese checkers.

Please click on the "comments" link at the end of my post to share.

  1. Many of my memories are the same as yours, but I also remember wading in the creek on the edge of our farm, and picking (and eating) fresh tomatoes and corn from the garden.

  9. I remember picking wild asparagus or daisies in the ditches along the country roads where we lived. On Sundays after church we'd have either a roast beef or chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. That made it really special!

  10. I have a lot of memories from when I was a child, swinging on the old gate watching the world go by, visiting my grandparents, helping my mum shell peas that my dad had grown, eating my dad's delicious string beans because those were my favorite. My mum's delicious cooking, she was a great cook, running up to the rag-and-bone-man's cart for a balloon and loving being so close to his horse, saying hello to the fish-monger who used to push his barrow around the streets, and last but not least, Christmas time helping mum to put up the streamers and balloons hanging from the ceiling :)
