A Few Museum Photos

Hi everyone!  The video I am sharing for this post is "Making Christmas Crackers (1910)".  I just love it that we can see videos from a century ago.  Hope you all enjoy it.

The photos I am sharing in this post are some that I took in January 2011 on a visit I took to a museum.  There were several vintage items and of course I really enjoyed it, as you all know how much I love vintage.  I hope you all enjoy them as well.  Museum Photos

It was quite cold today in Montreal and it has started snowing, so the temperatures should warm up with the snow.  What I am not looking forward to is the rain and freezing rain we are supposed to get tomorrow, as I must be careful to not fall on the ice.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I really enjoy reading your thoughts, which you can always share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  1. I don't approve of sweatshops, but this is what's happening in China these days, since that's where all our jobs have gone. The video is still interesting, though.

  2. Christmas makes me go "crackers"! :-)

Re the vintage photos: I wish you wouldn't post this stuff, 'cause all of a sudden I realize I'm "vintage." Lois' folks owned a radio just like the one shown and when we were first married, we have a record player in a case. The organ's familiar, too, although we didn't own one.

Hope you are having a good week so far!

  3. What interesting video! I feel sorry for those women working in those conditions. Nothing was designed to protect them from repetitive stress. If they did those jobs all day, they must have been in pain by day's end. And, can you imagine wearing all those clothes to work?

  4. I enjoyed both the video and your photos. We had a phonograph very similar to the one you pictured. I hope the freezing rain misses you.
