Soothing Nature

Hi everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post contains the soothing sounds of the ocean;  no music, just the ocean.
As for myself, I find that being in nature and listening to the sounds of nature is very soothing.

This post is intended to give you all some time to enjoy nature and to....relax.

The photo I am sharing today is one that I took in a park in June 2011.  It was a warm and hazy day.  You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate reading your comments, even if I don't always respond.  Please feel free to share your thoughts by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  2. Great post, Linda... Love the photo in the park...

AND I really LOVE the sound of the ocean. When we go to the beach every year, we sleep with the door open so that we can hear the ocean.

    Hugs,

  9. Vivo muy cerca de las costas y el sonido de las olas és tan relajante que a veces nos parece que se puede viajar a traves de ellas.

  11. First of all, I glanced at your profile getting to your post and I think you're wrong when you say you're not good at words. You are quite good at words; you use them well; you express yourself very well!

We used to have several CD's with "sounds of nature," but I can't remember what happened to them. Maybe we got so busy we didn't have time to listen to them? That would be sad. They're very soothing and your photo is beautiful.

One question: Why do you put your name in the middle of the photo? I think it takes away the photo's charm. You want to note that it is "copyrighted," so why not put in down in the corner along with the copyright notice and date (the latter is important 'cause in the US copyrights have an expiration date), such as: Copyright 2013 by Linda Elliot. You don't need the little ©.

That way you have the notice on your photo but you don't block out parts of the photo itself.

    Just a thought.

    Have a wonderful day.
