Pause and Relax

Hello everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is a soothing harp melody entitled, "Dance of Hope."  The image stays the same throughout the video so you can listen to it while you view my photo and do whatever you need to do.

The photo I am sharing is one that I took today.  This amazing house is in a gated community not far from the water, and the area is quiet and lovely.  There were a couple of signs on the gate to "Beware of Guard Dog".  However, I didn't see the dog around at the time I took this photo.  You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I really appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  1. The harp music reminds me of weddings I have been to, and the house is gorgeous. I remember one sign that said, "Forget the dog, beware of the owner!" :)

  3. It's a huge house, probably the dog needs time to arrive at the gate! ;-)

  4. The peaceful music and that house just go together!! I love hearing the harp. I guess it is still cold and wintry up there. We have spring and all the allergies that go with it down here!

    1. Hi Linda, so glad you enjoyed the music and photo. It is not cold right now, it is warming up, we are above 0, which is good. Yes, spring and the allergy season.

    1. Dogs are O.K., I am an animal lover and understand them fairly well.

  6. Linda, the dog will have a house with heating and air conditioning. It's cold outside and does not come out to watch the door. A hug

Linda, el perro seguramente tenga una casita con calefacción y aire acondicionado. Fuera hace frio y no sale a vigilar la puerta. Un abrazo

  8. Well, I sure don't live in a house anything like this. And I would not want to be so afraid of my house and belongings that I had to put up a big gate and announce there was a bad dog. Having so much stuff that you literally have to shut the world out is sad.

    1. The gate completes the look with the lions on it. As for the dog, even companies nowadays use dogs to guard things...such as the armoured trucks that go around picking up money. I think the more people have the more they want, and I find that sad.

It is a big house -- I suspect big is one of the initial requirements to build in a "gated" community.

  11. Maybe there isn't a dog, Just the sign might be enough to keep intruders out!

    1. I think there is a dog, because I even saw cameras at the gate, so anyone trying to "intrude" would be caught on camera.

    1. LOL...true, but sometimes I wonder if they put it there as a warning; some people don't believe it, when all of a sudden they are shocked to be greeted by a growling dog. So glad you liked the music.

  14. i'm always curious, when i see a 'guard dog' sign, whether it's a fierce doberman behind the gates or a friendly golden retriever, heh :D and yeah, the music's beautiful. it's midnight now in malaysia, and i'm winding down after a long day, so this is really soothing to listen to. perfect :D

    1. Hi Sean, so true! I have seen just what you describe, too. There was a home I passed by one day and I saw the sign outside warning about a dog...when all of a sudden I saw a Golden Retriever wagging his tail. It was hilarious. So glad you enjoyed the music!
