Spring is in the Air!

Hello everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is "I'm Old Fashioned" (1943 Fred Astaire - John Scott Trotter Orchestra).  Hope you all enjoy it!

I got really excited today, as the weather was just beautiful!  It was a partly sunny, partly cloudy, lovely day!  Cool, but not cold, perfect weather for me to take a nice long walk...and I did!  At a horse farm!  There were not only horses there, either, as you will all see if you continue checking out my posts for the next few weeks.  I took many photos so I will be sharing them with you over the next few weeks...one per day.

Here is the first of my series of photos at this gorgeous, huge farm.  Hope you enjoy this series!  You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I really appreciate and enjoy reading your thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  1. Good song. The horse reminds me of my younger days!

  2. The patient old fellow seems not to mind the snow, but probably would prefer spring. No mud, though.

  3. Je suis très heureuse que vous ayez pu profiter d'une belle journée ensoleillée et douce... Elle aura peut-être permis de faire fondre un peu la neige que j'aperçois sur cette belle photo que vous avez publiée.
    Gros bisous à vous.

  4. That looks like it could be on a greeting card or a calendar. We will have a very cold day tomorrow and then close to 70 degrees this weekend!

  9. The splash of red on the halter makes this a fine shot.

  10. Well, I'm sorta kinda old-fashioned. Like the song, if that means anything! :)

Glad you had good weather and were able to get out. I think you'd like Ocala, this being the "horse capitol of the world" with hundreds of horse farms in the area; most of them for breeding and training race horses.

It's going to be cool here. I think y'all have been sending us too much Canadian air recently! ;)

    Have a great day!

  11. The large snow-filled farm is beautiful as is that horse. I hope that you are staying warm and that spring will come soon.

  15. Hi, Linda! Glad you were able to get out & enjoy your day with an interesting walk. Horses are gorgeous creatures, but my mother & my allergies & asthma attacks kept me away from them when I was young, so I can't claim to be a horse person & don't understand them as well as I understand dogs & cats. I will be looking forward to more of your beautiful pictures!
    Much
