Flowers are Beginning to Appear!

Hello everyone!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  The video I have chosen for this post is "Duke of Earl" by Gene Chandler.  It is a great classic song, and Gene sings it with such feeling!  I also love the intense expression of the people in the audience here...it shows what a great performance this was!

I thought I would share a few things about myself in this post.

1.  I love to read.  The type of books I enjoy reading are non-fiction, some biographies, self help books, The Bible, nature books and books that are heartwarming, such as the Chicken Soup for the Soul series...and A Cup of Comfort.  How about you all?  What do you like to read?

2.  I love to organize and clean.  I know I may be in the minority, but I just love doing chores around the apartment and organizing everything from my books to papers, anything.  I also really enjoy helping others to organize their lives...if they let me or ask me to help them.  :)

The photo I am sharing in this post is one that I took on a walk a couple of days ago.  It is not one of my best photos, however, I was so happy to see some flowers...and colourful ones, too, I just had to capture it, so I did.  This is my first attempt at taking a photo of flowers this year.  You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I really appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

I have fits of organising things....and then I go back to reading.

  6. Great song in the video!

I love to read, too. I enjoy nonfiction books like memoirs. I also enjoy fiction, particularly mysteries.

I bet it's nice to see the first flowers! Hope many more open up soon.

  9. The colors of those flowers are so lively! :D i usually read magazines, because i have a short attention span. And I wish I could be organized, like you. My apartment is pretty messy because I'm always procrastinating when it comes to tidying up =)

I love those vibrant colors! And you can't go wrong with "The Duke of Earl". I wish I enjoyed organizing, but my favorite part about cleaning is the moment it's done. I love to read too. I like all kinds of books, but in my opinion, you can never go wrong with a good murder mystery. :-)

You were right about the snake on my blog! It's nonvenomous.

  12. That's a song that goes back aways! And I must say you are probably in the minority when it comes to cleaning and organizing. :) I don't mind doing those things but I have to be in the mood!

The flowers are gorgeous. So glad to hear that things are warming up and spring is coming full-flower, so to speak! And thank you for your lovely comments today!

  13. I, too, LOVE reading!!!! Biographies - - especially Christian - - are my favorites. I like to organize but can never seem to get done with it all. Now maybe since I am retired, I can make some progress?!!! And once again, I really like the video you picked for us.

  14. I've actually been into historical books lately along with some thrillers thrown in here and there to spice things up. I love to see the colors of spring finally arrive. My walks have taken me past so many tulips and daffodils...it's a welcome sign of the season's progress!
