Waterfowl Reflections

Hello everyone!  The video I have chosen for this post is one I found on YouTube...The Lotus Flower (slow version).  It is a lovely, 2 minute video with soothing piano music and beautiful images.  Claude Monet is one of my favourite artists.

The photos I am sharing today are ones I took on a nature park walk a few days ago.  The photos here will show how much the water level rose...there is actually a bench and a picnic table in the water!  Of course this is due to the overflow we had when the snow melted.  I thought it was a great opportunity to capture some nice views...hope you all enjoy them.

This first photo has a pair of ducks.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

This last photo has a Canada goose enjoying the beautiful sunny, partly cloudy day!

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  1. My goodness, it looks like furniture in the water, but of course the water rose, what a sight.

  3. We have had a lot of rain lately and it's brought a Mallard Duck couple to our yard...we've sure enjoyed that! It's warmed up a bit and dried off so I don't know if I'll get a picture of them by the time I get around to blogging next. Love the video and pictures my friend!

  7. Monet did wonderful work...his paintings calm the soul.

This is the first time I've seen picnic benches in the water. I guess you could swim out there with a picnic basket on your back. You could tie a bottle of wine to your belt. The ducks might attack your food, though! :)

    Fun shots, Linda!

  10. Stunning photos! I love the reflections in the water. The ducks must have wondered why the bench was in the water! :-)

  22. Hi Linda. I was listening to the beautiful quiet piano as I looked at your photos. I felt I was there. Monet would have loved your choices of photos, I am sure.
