Compassion for Others

Hello everyone!  I think compassion for others is such a beautiful thing...among humans and the animal kingdom!  The video I have chosen for this post is a great example of compassion for others.  You will see some sheep trying to help a bird.  They are very gentle and encouraging.  The clip is just one minute long.  Enjoy!

The photos I am sharing today are ones I took on a nature park walk.  As usual I don't know what the flowers are called but I found them pretty.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

A pair of Canada geese.  I have been using the zoom feature on my camera in order to give any wildlife plenty of space.  :)

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  2. I love your quotes today. We have many of these sweet little flowers around here, and I do not know what they are, either!!! Good thing to use a zoom on the geese!

  5. i love the generous and open-hearted sentiments you express in your posts. i have to encounter a lot of brusqueness and cruelty and coldness in my work, so it's very uplifting to read your blog posts and be reminded that there are many kind-hearted people too in this world :D

  12. Ciertamente el vídeo es aleccionador para los bípedos implumes que se consideran superiores a las demás especies. Un abrazo,

Certainly the video is instructive for featherless bipeds who consider themselves superior to other species. A hug,

  16. Sheep do seem to be compassionate Linda, a few months ago we freed a sheep whose leg was caught in a fence. As it returned to the flock it was soon surrounded by the others checking it out.

    Nice photos

  17. This is lovely, Linda. We could learn from these sheep.
Those flowers are Primula and they can and do spread around.

  18. Oh Gee....Such a touching video...they were genuinely concerned for the little bird...it seems towards the end the one sheep was looking at the camera person to help. I use my zoom too. :) Flowers are so hard not to photograph especially in the spring.
