Country Sunshine Memories

Hello everyone!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  The video I have chosen for this post is a great classic...this particular song was used in a vintage Coca Cola commercial!  In the lyrics of this song, when you hear "picture show", this was changed to "a bottle of Coke" for their TV commercial.  Dottie wrote this song for a Coke TV ad...and it almost hit the top of the charts.  I love this song, it is upbeat and wholesome!  Hope you all enjoy this!

The photos I am sharing today are ones that I took on a nature park walk.  The first two photos...not sure what breed of geese they are.  The last photo with the pair of geese?  These are Chinese geese.  I looked up breeds of geese on the internet and this is what they are.  The gander on the left is the nasty one.  LOL!  And yes, it looks as if he was on the prowl again.  It's O.K., though, I use my zoom feature on my camera now, so they get plenty of space.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Here is the Chinese geese couple...the gander is on the left, looking as if he is searching for his next victim.  I have named him the "black beaked brat."  LOL!  :)

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

He does look like he's up to some sort of mischief. It makes for a very cute photo though! I'd never heard that song before. Thanks for sharing it!

  3. Hi Linda, lovely song, and super zoom pics.I too, would definitely keep my distance. Their feathers are so white, cleaner than clean. Greetings from Jean, NZ.

  4. Isn't the internet wonderful for finding information or names of things we don't know? I had no idea these were Chinese geese. Unfortunately I think all geese have the reputation of being rather fierce if you get too close to them.
