I am so Confused

Hi everyone!  I feel the need to make this special post because all the changes that Blogger has been making is getting me discouraged.

See, I closed my Facebook account for 5 entire months last year because the changes they were making were driving me crazy.  I am about to close it again (Facebook), as the more changes they make the more commercial it becomes...and the less interaction with friends is becoming all too apparent.  Friends hardly see their friend's posts anymore.

Anyway, if Blogger keeps making it harder for us to follow and keep up with one another, I will feel the same way...that I am losing the friends that I have made here!

If you look on my right hand column here you will notice that I have removed the capacity for people to follow me through Blogger.  Therefore, you can follow me either via Bloglovin or by e-mail.  I figure since Blogger is going to remove the news feed here then why keep the capacity to follow me through Blogger?

I just don't wish to lose the friends that I have made here, so hopefully you will all continue to visit my blog.

Thank you so much for listening.  Hugs and love to you all.

    1. Hi Beth, thanks so much! I have no problem with changes so long as I feel they are for the greater good. What is happening right now, though, I do not see it as good. Anything that threatens to lose the friendships we have made here is not good, in my view, and they seem to be pushing this Google+ thing, which I am not interested in.

  4. I am so sorry to hear this! For me, I feel the blogs I follow on my sidebar are more than adequate, I am so sorry for you, I know that when sites change it can be so frustrating. BUT Blogger is free, so really I don't complain since I am not paying.

    1. I don't see how it will help you when Blogger takes away the reader, Ginny.

  6. Since I never used 'Reader' anyway, I will not miss it. I know change can be difficult at first and I think Linda you have figured out how and what to do to get around the change coming up. I too use Bloglovin and it is a good tool to use. I also will start to get your blog through email now.

    1. Hi Jim, thanks so much, my friend. I don't mind changes if I think they are for the good....and it does take me some time to get used to change, perhaps more so than the average person. :)

  8. What changes? My dashboard still shows the blogs I follow, and i can still add new ones by entering the blog addy. Have I missed something? I know they took away the "follow" button at the top of people's blogs, which is annoying.

  10. yes, some of these changes are definitely for the worse, not for the better. but there are alternatives out there to how we can follow each other, such as feedly.com which i'm using. so i'm still able to follow everyone's blogs as usual. i hope you manage to find a good alternative too.

  12. I'm confused and disapointed too. I've just posted something similar, and added a Bloglovin button too.
It's all such a nuisance when it all seems to work fine anyway, why change it?

  14. I follow by using my side bar but find I have issues with commenting on some of the blogs I follow now because they have Google plus circles. (?) :(

Please do not be shy! I appreciate your kind comments, they are sweet treasures and really make my day! Spammers, do not waste your time, I delete your comments and they do not even show on my blog. Comment moderation is enabled. I do hope that Blogger's changes in the way of proving that you are not a robot do not deter you from commenting! Thank you so much! If you have Google+ and are only allowing Google+ users to comment on your blog, I do not have, nor do I want it. And if you use DISQUS for accepting comments on your blog I don't have that, either, nor do I want it. Thanks!
