The Deer Whisperer (guess who?)

Hello everyone!  You are all most likely going to think that perhaps I am posting a video about someone who is a deer whisperer...well, this is not the case.  The deer whisperer is myself!!!  See, on one of my walks and visit to a nature park, I saw some deer in a very large enclosure.  They seemed to take quite well to me...so well, in fact, that after I had gotten some photos of them and began walking away, a couple of them followed me as I walked away...them on the inside of their enclosure, myself on the outside.  Nobody except the staff are allowed to go inside to feed and clean, which I think is good;  after all, they are wild animals.  There was a couple sitting on a bench and they were smiling at me and seemed to be just as happily surprised as I was.  So, at least for the day I took these photos, I decided that I was a deer whisperer.  :)

In order to keep with the deer theme, I found a cute and short, two minute video of a new born deer!  Enjoy!

And now for my photos!  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  2. Oh, so sweet! I love the photo of the deer's faces close up. The deer probably knew that you were a kind person and wouldn't hurt them. :-)

  11. I love looking at deer. They seem such gentle creatures but I know they are strong. That baby in the video seems unusually short - - almost too short to nurse but I guess it is fine. Animals know a person's nature and that is why they followed you. They know you are a kind soul.

  12. I love the wild deer that live in our woods and often pass through the backyard.
I wonder if the deer in the enclosure were being raised for their meat. So sad.

  13. What a sweet video of bambi. Last week I stopped my car for a wee one slightly bigger than this one. My camera was right there next to me, but I was in such awe I couldn't reach for it until the little sweetheart decided to follow momma deer into the forest. They are beautiful creatures until they hop the fence into my garden and eat the best of everything!

  14. Some folk are on the same wavelength as certain animals and some animals sense things such as labrynthitis. You probably did each other a power of good.

  15. They do seem intrigued with you, Linda. I don't see many of these animals around here, only occasionally along a highway while driving. They appear to be gentle creatures. Have a wonderful weekend.
