Groundhogs are Adorable

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to each and every one of you!  The video I have chosen for this post is in HD, and a beautiful clip of a groundhog (and a few other things in nature as well).  I love the upbeat music in this, too!  I think, if I am not mistaken, the first song in this clip is the Scottish National Anthem.  Enjoy this 4 minute video!

I don't expect all of you to agree with me, but I think groundhogs are adorable...and delightful!  I did come across one today and managed to get some photos, which I am sharing here.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  3. I really like them, too! And this one looks far away from his burrow. I see he came through this hole in the fence!!

  4. I think they're cute, too, Linda. My husband doesn't like when one digs under his shop sometimes, but I guess the groundhog is just being a groundhog.

  5. Great video, Linda, and great shots too. Seems like the animal's actions were in sync with the music, including the worm's.

I suspect many farmers wouldn't agree with your sentiments though.

  7. Adorable, indeed! Thank you for sharing this sweet paean to the groundhog!

For years I used to observe a groundhog, sitting at the edge of a busy intersection, back in DC.
I even wrote a Groundhog Day blog post, in memory of my sweet friend.

Wishing you days filled with joy,
    Merisi

  10. Great shots, Linda. And I do agree, groundhogs are gorgeous! They are a beautiful part of Nature. I like them better in the wild though, in their natural habitat, not on my own porch! :-)))

  19. There are ground hogs in Montreal? Who would have thought that?!
    They look like mini beavers.
I loved the 'inch-worm' finding its way around.
Good video Linda, thanks for sharing.

  23. Lovely little creatures. I'm not sure what the music in the video is, but it's not the Scottish National Anthem (Flower of Scotland).

  24. Lovely clip Linda. The music isn't the Scottish National Anthem, but it probably is Scottish.
However it's led me to a blog called Scratchyattic run by Lonesome Lefty where he provides links to download tons of old instrumental music. Thanks
