This is quite similar to a cough remedy that my mother made. Your flowers are beautiful, they look HUGE! We have the white ones here but I don't know what they are. Matter of fact, I am not sure what any of these are today!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very interesting recipe for cough syrup. I don't know if I'll ever try it, though. It sounds too much like cooking. :)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers photos are very nice. I especially liked the perspective on the white one. The blue sky makes a beautiful backdrop.
Super remedy, and lovely flowers, I too like the sky behind the white flowers, are they hydrangeas? Cheers from Jean.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from, RW & SK
Beautiful pictures, and isn't that blue sky gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteHi! Nice captures. Your flower photos are very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow those are some amazingly bright colors there Linda. And I have been experiencing a sore throat lately so I need to learn how to make my own cough syrup :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful glowers...and such a sunny day!
ReplyDeletegreat flowers
ReplyDeleteI love this video! I certainly will use this ginger honey recipe next time I have a sore throat – I hope it will be in a while though… Your flower photos are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the white pom poms. I wonder if they're called snow balls?
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are the cure to what ails me this morning...nice!
ReplyDeleteDear Linda - looks like a wonderful recipe. I have used honey warmed before with lemon but never ginger...will have to remember this remedy next time. Those flowers are stunning. Are they cannas? I have never grown any here but they may have to be on my list for next year. Take care and have a great day.
ReplyDeleteEvery morning I eat a spoon full of honey, Linda, and in need I eat candied ginger, I love it !
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.

ReplyDeleteObrigada por compartilhar tamanha beleza.
ReplyDeleteabraços
Minä käutän seuravalla kerralla hyvää reseptä kiitos Linda
ReplyDeleteSinun kukkaset ovat kauniita:)
Gorgeous flowers :-)
ReplyDeleteOh those colors are amazingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous Linda, they are real smile bringers. I was very interested in your video. I have a similar recipe with those ingredients, plus a cup of hot water, to use as a drink when cold season is here. But truthfully I like it so much I will drink it even when I am not sick, especially if I have come out of the cold and want something comforting to drink. I've never seen this recipe for cough syrup and am very happy you posted it today as I will definitely remember this. Thanks so much and wishing you a great week :)
ReplyDeleteI've never used fresh ginger, but I've heard that it's helpful for many things. I like the idea of a natural cough syrup. It looks like it would be very soothing, perhaps for a sore throat, too. Thank you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are so pretty! I love the orange-red one especially.
I will pass the cough syrup recipe to my daughter...she has an auto immune disease and eats most everything natural plus medications. I love photo number two...such pretty flowers. I will miss them in the next few months.
ReplyDeleteMy granny's recipe. As well as the ginger she also squeezed a lemon and scraped out the inside to add to the mixture.
ReplyDeleteLovely colourful pictures Linda
