Saturday Song

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is a sweet and beautiful 2 minute clip entitled "Rose-Breasted Grosbeak."  This beautiful bird has such a lovely song!  Enjoy!

The photos I am sharing today are ones I took last month in downtown Montreal.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

  1. My friend in Wisconsin has grosbeaks at her feeders all summer. I seldom see them here in Ohio.

  2. We don't see the grosbeaks in Indiana very often, so it's always a treat. I enjoyed the video. Maybe it will help me to recognize their song now, even when I can't spot the bird.

  4. I imagine Montreal to be a huge city! Have you ever been in any of these buildings? Are they offices for doctors and such?

  10. I have only seen rose-breasted grosbeaks twice in my life. Years ago, we were camping in the woods. I was standing quietly when one suddenly landed a few feet in front of me. It was just a wonderful surprise. I saw another one in southern Minnesota a few weeks ago at a bird feeder outside a rest stop. They're such beautiful birds.

  12. Hi Linda! I have just gotten a bird feeder, and I love seeing all the lovely birds coming to eat. Of course, I don't know about them like you do, but we both can appreciate God in nature :)

    Blessings,

  18. Such big and tall buildings. We don't have that here. We need to travel about 6 hours to the big city and I'm in AWE when I see them. They make me feel so tiny! WOW.
