Soothing Thursday

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is entitled 'Inner Strength' (on the album 'Woodland Voices'...wood flute by Kevin Doberstein). Kevin Doberstein is a fellow nature lover and great flutist. You will also hear nature sounds in this beautiful 4 minute video.  Enjoy!

The photos I am sharing today are ones that I took on a recent walk.  I don't know the story behind the big rock with the art on it but I found it interesting...and it was right by the waterfront.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

I found this very interesting...there is a concrete staircase leading to the gates on the water.

This is some sort of shop, I just took the photo because I loved the colours.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  2. Those steps and the gate to the water are SO strange!!! Kind of like something out of a mixed up dream. The rock looks like someone was declaring his love for his lady. And I love the pink shop awnings, perhaps a boutique or a beauty parlor.

  4. Tienes razón, esa escalinata que conduce al agua, con esas puertas, es algo muy curioso. Parece como si quisieran ponerle puertas al río o al mar. Un abrazo,

  8. I wonder if the rock is a memorial to someone. Nice shots. I am definitely feeling soothed for a day at work!

  9. Very interesting that concrete staircase to the water..perhaps it was easy to get in the water.
The shop looks good, and it's great to walk and take photos as you go for tomorrow it will be different.

  10. There is a large rock at a school near me. Every year the senior class can paint it as they wish. This year it's a soccer ball.

  12. You have a good eye for photography. I especially liked the first one, with the dock extending out into the water.
