The Story of Owney

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is entitled "The Story of Owney". This is the first I have heard of him, and I was delighted to find this clip!  It is a short, 3 minute video of a little adorable dog from the late 1800's.  Enjoy!

The photos I am sharing today are ones that I took on a recent walk.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  14. What a peaceful walk you have! Ours has some traffic which I really don't like...perhaps it will settle some once school starts up again.

  19. Your pictures are especially beautiful today- - - especially the pier with the table and chairs. Great story about Owney. I grew up in a town about 30 minutes from Albany. My mom worked in Albany and lived there the last 25 years of her life. She loved that city.

  20. A lovely story of Owney Linda. There's a lovely animated story called 'Owney : Tales from the rails' at Postal Museum, enjoyable for the child in all of us.
