Cat Lullaby and Health Issues

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is a really sweet 3 minute clip entitled "Brahm's Lullaby with Cats".  Enjoy!

I was at the doctor's today, as the labyrinthitis (dizziness) that I had about 4 months ago (and that was successfully treated with meds and went away) has returned!  He has prescribed meds for it.  My doctor is very good and thorough, thank God, and he checked my blood pressure, my breathing and asked me several questions, as I have also been very tired over the last several months and don't know why.  After tasks such as vacuuming or changing my bed linens, I feel exhausted, which is very strange, as I normally have more energy than that!  I haven't been sleeping very well, and when I do sleep I have detailed dreams where I am working on various jobs, etc.  Anyway, my doctor has issued me a series of things to do such as go to get blood and urine tests, and he also wants to have a test done to check for the possibility of sleep apnea.  He wants to look and see if it might be a thyroid issue or diabetes, etc. Your prayers and thoughts on my behalf would be most appreciated!  Thank you so much!

The photos I am sharing today are ones that I took on a recent walk.  The first two photos are of snails on a leaf!  This is the first time I have seen this and just had to photograph them!  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  1. The leaves are gorgeous, and the snails are cute! Looks like you have a very good doctor! Me and my best friend have both been plagued by BPV (Benign Positional Vertigo). She has had some success by holding her nose and blowing to equalize the pressure in her ears, and I found out mine is a rare side effect caused by ibuprofen. I sure hope you can get a definitive diagnosis!! Please continue to keep us updated, I know it can be really miserable.

  2. Oh Linda, I do hope the blood tests show something, just a thought, will they do a Vitamin B12 level check? This low level can result in extreme tiredness, tears for no reason, lack of interest in food or cooking!!! and lots more. And dizziness, so hard to explain, and because it cannot be seen, people sometimes do not understand. I'm sending hugs and bright flowers to you, many thoughts that all will be resolved very soon. Much love, coming back to you from Jean, NZ.

I've never seen a snail like the one in the second photo. He (or she!) is rather exotic looking. The leaves are so vibrant and beautiful. I hope you get some answers about your health issues very soon. It's never any fun to feel unwell and not know why. Please do let us know what you learn.

  6. I'm sorry to sound happy but it's good to know that someone else also has this dizziness which seems to afflict me too. It's not often (3 times in the last 7 or 8 years) but when it does come it's very disorienting and puts me out of order for a week or so. So I can understand how bad it can be. Get better soon :)

  16. The snails are hungry. I have never lived in an area where they were a pest. My brother's place is covered with them in the summer and they consume a lot of foliage. Great shots.

  17. I'm glad you have such a thorough doctor.
My brother in law has sleep apnea and he finds himself unexpectedly tired after doing things that should be routine. There are several treatments if this is the diagnosis.

    Best wishes.

  18. I understand how you feel, Linda. Since 2 years I have to take meds for my thyrox as well, and a start of diabetes is found. You can live with it, my dear friend.
