Those are neat photos and this advert couldn't come at a more opportune time as I got such a craving for peanut butter tonight that I helped myself to a teaspoon of it right out of the jar!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing that TV commercials used to be so long! Now they usually 10 seconds and we have ten times as many of them!
ReplyDeleteskippy was my favorite PB as a kid
ReplyDeleteI love the way the light is shining through the leaves in that first pic Linda. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so green in the first photo, with just a touch of fall color in the second one. It's going to be awhile before we see that much green again.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy those vintage ads...maybe because I'm vintage myself. :)
Nice photos!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Holland, RW & SK

this is too funny, did we get this TV ad in Canada? I'd forgotten about Skippy peanut butter, do they still sell it?

A different age...whether it's the video or pictures...I like blasts from the past! I miss the greens of summer already...guess I'd better deal with it...it's a long way from spring or summer.
ReplyDeleteOlá, o vídeo mostra a aquela publicidade que marcou uma época e não é esquecida.
ReplyDeleteAs fotos captadas na natureza estão excelentes.

Dear Linda - you are making me wistful for summer - those leaves look so refreshing. That Skippy Peanut butter commercial brings back childhood memories. It is the only kind of peanut butter my grandparents bought and I always ate it there (I admit now that I am a Jif fan-sorry). Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteGreat to watch the old adverts Linda. I remember our first TV back in the 50's and all the ads were live. We didn't take much notice as kids, but watching them again on youtube, they were hilarious.
ReplyDeleteStill summer, Linda, nice now...
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
The older simpler ads bring back memories for me too. Often today after some commercials are over I wonder what they were for. :)
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, thank you for writing and warmest regards from Vienna!
