Blue Skies and My Red Christmas Tree

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is a nice old song entitled "Blue Skies" (Tommy Dorsey Orchestra with Frank Sinatra)
Enjoy!  :)

The photo I am sharing today is my own Christmas tree...yes, it is small and made of fabric, but I love it!  It was given to me several years ago by a friend...who made it herself!  It has little gold bells on it that make a jingle sound when I shake the tree.  This is the extent of my Christmas decorating!  :)  This little tree (which is no more than two feet high) is proudly displayed on my television in the living room.  You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

I don't fuss about decorating for Christmas, but I really enjoy seeing what others do....which is why I love to take photos of the various displays I see around this time.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  2. Hand made, home made ,a perfect gift, and a beautiful little tree, vfar better than the tallest, most expensive bought one. Some years ago I made small ones, a cone of stiff fabric, then green fabric on the top of that, a wooden round base and tree trunk that Hugh made, about 12 inches high, Yours is so much nicer, enjoy. Cheers from Jean.

  3. I love your tree, Linda! I shall think on it, as I try to downsize my out-of-control collection of Christmas decorations. Your tree reminds me of a have a sweet little stuffed reindeer with jingle bells that a beloved former student gave me I hope that you are having a lovely weekend!

  5. My mom ADORED Tommy Dorsey!!! And I have always loved this song! I only wish someone was singing along..your little tree is delightful and so cute!!! I guess I will have to put out something like this. I will not be putting up our big one because the cats won't leave it alone.

  23. Oh, I love your tree. So special that it was a gift from a friend. We don't decorate for Christmas, either. We have one of those ceramic trees with the colorful plastic bulbs that are lit by a light placed inside the tree. That's about the extent of our seasonal decorating. You've inspired me. I should take a picture of our tree. :)
