Thank you all so Much
Gout is extremely painful and so painful, in fact, that a thin sheet touching the affected area can cause one to scream in pain, so imagine trying to put on a sock and a shoe...and then to take a bus to the clinic. This is what I had to do to get to the clinic yesterday, but I am glad that I went!
It felt good to really have a good sleep without the pain (especially after two full nights of agonizing pain). The swelling has already gone down and the redness is slowly going away.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your prayers, love and support, and for taking the time to visit my blog and for all your kind comments.
Hugs and love to you all!

I am so glad to hear that you now have some relief and hope it won't be too long before things are back to normal. It sounded dreadful and my heart went out to you. Having suffered from foot pain in the past, this sounded a whole lot worse. Wishing you nothing but happy feet from now on :)
ReplyDeleteLinda, have you tried the old fashioned way to keep sheets and duvet off your foot, a pillow either side of the bed, so that there is a sort of tent, in hospital they have frames that do this, Even a large cushion ( 2) would do. So glad you are on the mend. Take care, keep up the cold packs, soon you'll be 100 %,( oops, nearly used the $ sign!!). Greetings, Jean.XX
ReplyDeleteBig hug for you, Linda !

ReplyDeleteGood news at last. Hang in there, Linda....:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief! I had gout in my ankle about a year and a half ago. Mine wasn't as painful as what you described, but it wasn't fun either. I'm so glad yours is responding to the treatment.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better. Sending healing thoughts your way. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you suffered like that, but I am so glad you are feeling better. I bet you needed that 10 hours of sleep! Pain can drag us down and keep us from getting good rest. I hope you continue to feel better.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you feel better. I hope all the best for you:)
ReplyDeleteBack ten years ago before I returned to Scotland, a colleague had gout and decided to follow icuredmygout dot org. I think it involved baking soda (a very underrated natural medicine in my view). Don't know if it's still active, but it worked for him. Good luck in the cure Linda.
ReplyDeleteHi, Pleased you managed to find out what was causing your pain and obtain some relief from it. I found applying ice helps on my back, when it flares and also the newly acquired knee pain, all of which are much better at the moment, so for that I am thankful. God Bless and I hope you have a pleasant pain free week :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better and the trip to the clinic was worth it. :)
ReplyDeleteI miss Canada already, but I am thankful I have your blog and others to keep me in touch. Thanks for your kind words on my blog.
I'm so glad you're feeling better. I wish you all the best.
