For the Love of Birds

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is a hilarious 2 minute clip of a news reporter getting nipped at by a group of ostriches.  His laughter made me laugh and the birds were enjoying their few minutes of fame.  Enjoy!  :)

The photo I am sharing today is one that I took last summer. I haven't been able to get many photos of the heron here in Montreal...well, for one reason they are elusive and it is very difficult to see them, as usually when they see humans around they stay still like statues.  This is one that I was able to photograph.  The smaller bird further out, on the rock, is a seagull.  You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

That was such a funny video. The reporter had a very good sense of humor about it.

  23. Birds will wait till you push the click on the camera and fly off and all you get is a blur or tail feathers. I have seen a few photo's of reporters getting attacked by birds. :)

  27. It is a funny video. Fortunately the man was not hurt. They say it doesn't happen often but an ostrich can severely and/or mortally wound you if it kicks with its foot. However, this one was lots of fun to watch.
