Phyllis Diller, MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE, I've just watched this three times and will again before I go! My family and friends in B.C. have being telling me this is the way the Post is going there too...I would imagine that Internet has touched this domain too. However at least we've still opportunity to send mail the old fashioned yet.
ReplyDeleteJoy and bills!!!!
ReplyDeleteΗappy New Year and a lot of fun in blogland!

i guess the mail industry is one of the biggest affected by the internet and new technology ... just like the jobs of travel agents, newspaper journalists and many others ... challenging times for us...
ReplyDeleteWe, too, are threatened with a street's worth of mail boxes in one place. I am not impressed.
ReplyDeleteThat's sad to hear no more mail delivery in Canada. The US Postal service keeps threatening to reduce mail delivery but it hasn't happened yet....
ReplyDeleteShe is a real star. Down here, also, mail deliveries in some areas are being reduced, telephone boxes are now hot Wifi spots, signs of our times. Fond greetings from Jean
ReplyDeleteOops ... you have to pick your post yourself, Linda ? Daily ? Pfff...
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
La livraison du courrier sera sûrement modifiée dans quelques temps.
ReplyDeleteTout évolue tellement vite.
Mais rien ne remplace une lettre écrite à la main...
bonne nuit Linda
seems most postal systems around the world are going through a bit of a crisis. You'd think with all the packages with online shopping, that it would make up for the lack of letters.
ReplyDeleteI remember that old show which goes to show you how old I am. LOL! We have lots of problems with our mail service in the US too!
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy watching "What's My Line." Still funny to see them in action. So sorry to hear about the changes in your postal service.
ReplyDeleteThe post delivery service looks modern in Canada.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Here in Finland the post has great economical problems, and they have talked about delivering only three times a week. Seems to be same problem everywhere.
ReplyDeleteInternet, is the end of letter mail, Linda, Is communicate from the comfort of home .. I like the picture;)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
a kiss
I've read about this happening here in the states eventually as well, as people hardly send mail anymore. Kind of sad isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou took me back a bit with"what's my line" a favourite here for many years, a few years back. Enjoy your weekend
ReplyDeleteA lot of ppl have stopped using snail mail, but we still try to send Christmas cards to our relatives every year (instead of e-cards) as it feels more personal.:)
ReplyDeleteI used to watch that show, too. It was really good and I admire the imposters who had to study so hard to help fool the panel. What a shame about the post office. If it is like in our country, there is unnecessary spending and that has caused much of the problem. The internet does play a part in it but they need to examine their budget, too.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's quite a step. I've heard talk here of stopping delivery on Saturday but never entirely. You'd think the Internet ordering would increase home delivery. We are very warm today...I would say a must walk day!
ReplyDeleteShame about your post! It's such a joy to receive a proper letter in the mail.... guess this is so called progress? Wishing you a very happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteLas fotografías son geniales. Ha estado un regalo el visitar tu bloc, te invito visitar el mio y compartamos nuestros blogs y si te gusta espero que te hagas seguidor.

The video was a classic ~ Thanks for sharing it! I'm really shocked to hear about your home mail delivery! I hope the US Postal Service doesn't get that idea for here! I hope that you are having a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteTon post est tout à fait charmant et j'aime beaucoup!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day! Cath
