Never Lose Fascination

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have chosen for this post is a 4 minute clip of an Emirates Airlines A380 First Class - Bangkok to Dubai.  I found it absolutely fascinating!  Enjoy!

I have only traveled by airplane twice in my life, and that was about 35 years ago when I went to New Brunswick from Montreal...and the return flight.  It was a 45 minute flight, very brief, so I haven't been on a plane in so long!  I found this video clip fascinating!

In my view, I think that as adults we often lose our fascination with people and things in life.  Children are naturally curious and fascinated with things around them, and I think we can learn so much from them.  With all the stress of day to day life, sometimes it is difficult to just sit back and enjoy the people and things around us, but when we are able to do this our lives are calmer and happier...well, I can speak for myself, but I am sure that this is the case with many of you as well.

The photos I am sharing today are ones that I took back in September 2013.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  7. Your right Linda.
I think as I have gotten a little older I am back to having a child like fascination with the world once more ~ and you are so right being "in the moment" is relaxing.

  8. I've flown first class only one time...when we traveled standby with friends whose daughter worked for the airline and who had gotten a companion ticket for us. But it was nothing like what was shown in the video! That's almost enough to make me want to fly somewhere again.

  10. I fly at least a 2 to 3 times a year, but believe me, it is budget class all the way!!! Buy I love to go places and even though I don't really enjoy the flight itself, it's worth it to go somewhere new. Or go back to someplace I love.

  20. wow, it's indeed been a long time since your last flight. hopefully someday you'll have the opportunity and reason to take another flight, for pleasure =) i actually dislike flying though. the long waits at the airport, the often-delayed flights, the discomfort and tight squeeze during long flights ... i'd rather not fly, to be honest =)

  26. That plane is unbelievable. That has to be a very, very expensive ticket for that flight! It was a fascinating thing to see though. Yes - - living in the moment and appreciating what's around you is great - - - especially if you don't have to deal with stressors - - like work - - thank you, Retirement!!!

  27. I agree with you, we should try to keep our childlike wonder and curiosity as long as possible. :) And I'd love to try one of those beds as I fly alot, but I'm afraid they are too $$.
Love the colors in the leaves. Hope you are still keeping warm!
