Falcons on Patrol at Airport

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The video I have selected for this post is a fascinating 1 minute clip about Falcons that are on patrol at an airport...to save birds!!! Enjoy!  :)

The photos I am sharing today are ones that I took in the last couple of days!  Yes, they are new photos!  I found this Catholic church quite nice!  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  12. Excellent clip with some very nice jaunty music ! I'd read that falcons are used in this way - good news for safety.

Nice shots of the church - top one is my favourite.

  13. Nice shots of the church and an interesting video too. Yesterday I was in Ely where I spotted a very realistic model of a falcon which was being used to keep pigeons away from....wait for it....a church! Falcons (real ones) are also flown over the tennis courts at Wimbledon every morning to dissuade pigeons from 'blessing' Andy Murrray et al.

  18. Hi Linda! With all the gray skies in my neck of the woods, all I see in your photos is the blue sky. Ahhhh. How wonderful! We have freezing rain today.

But I do love the rock face on the church. There's just something so sturdy and beautiful about natural rock. Thank you for lovely photos today :)

  20. Isn't that an amazing job for the Falcons, here they scare off pigeons from money making public sights in Paris. I've become fascinated with this bird ever since having one sit next to be from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to London, England with his owner of course :-) Nice photos, glad you were able to get out and about...

  22. I managed to get this to play eventually with our slow connection!!! That is not a falcon, I suspect it is an eagle of some kind. I used to do falconry, they are much smaller than this bird so not sure why they should call them falcons on the header! Beautiful bird none the less. Love the church. Have a good day. Diane

  26. En España hace ya muchos años que los halcones son nuestros mejores aliados en los aeropuertos, así como para controlar de forma natural las poblaciones excesivas de gaviotas y estorninos en las ciudades. Un abrazo,
