Sunday's Shares

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  I found the following on Facebook, and am providing the links to the sources just beneath the images.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

This painting drew me in...something that brings me back to simpler times and people enjoying a walk and taking time to talk to one another.  The artist's name is Albert Moulton Foweraker (1873-1942)

I found these last items worthwhile to share as well.

Now for the videos.  Here is another Just for Laughs Gag.

I found  this next video on old Swiss folk music very enjoyable and hope you all do as well!  :)

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  8. You always find quotes that really speak to me.
Love that old world look painting. Today it seems folks just pass by without so much as a nod most times. Sad had we seem to have lost a connection with each other. I know if I'm in a parking lot and pass someone who isn't afraid to make eye contact I do try to say hello and smile. Makes me feel good I hope it does them.

  13. I love that painting, for the exact opposite reasons I liked the painting in the previous post. The colours are so soft.

A bit of information for your readers about Foweraker's painting.
It's The Sloop Inn, St. Ives, Cornwall.
It's been open since around 1312 and you can still eat and drink merrily there to this day.
