Memory Lane Monday

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  Today is Memory Lane Monday here at Linda's Lair!  And just so you know, the memories won't necessarily be your own, but perhaps your parents' or grandparents'.

The videos I have chosen for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag

Laura - Woody Herman and his Orchestra (1945)

Washing Dishes with my Sweetie - Ted Weems (1930)

Singing in the Bathtub - Vaughn De Leath (1929)
Some of you may remember Tweety Bird singing this in the old cartoons!

For the following items, I am sharing the link sources for them beneath each photo.  You can click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  1. Dear Linda - that "Big Band" era has such a romantic sound and takes me back in time when things seemed so happy and sweet. Thank you for transporting me to a wonderful place for a few minutes. Bless you and have a great week.

  2. Lovely quotes, and I so empathise with those who were not a friend, I once ran up to two young ladies, thinking one was our daughter. NOT so, I was so embarrassed, and thinking back, they didn't laugh one little bit. Cheers, Jean.

I love the reactions of the onlookers in that first clip. There are some pretty stylish kitchens in the Washing Dishes with my Sweetie video; I really enjoy music from that era, and I hadn't heard this one before, nor Singing in the Bathtub, so these were a real treat.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog; it is good to be back.
