Soothing Sunday

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag:

Al Jolson:  Trouble's a Bubble (1924)

Lintulampi on Bird Pond:

I am sure that many of you have noticed that I have a love for music "before my time."  Even though I was born in 1956, I have a love for music from days gone by, not only music from when I was younger, but for music before my time.  I hope you all enjoy the selection of videos today.  :)

I found this next item quite fascinating.  Enjoy!  "A hobbit hole you can really live in".

We are finally getting some signs of Spring here in Montreal, but with all the snow we have had it is slow, but still!  I took the following photos over the last couple of days.  The seagull one...I took it yesterday and I took the others today. Although the seagull photo may not seem like anything special, and really, it isn't, but what is special about it for me is that I managed to capture a bird in flight!  As far as the other photos go, I took these today outside of a convent...the snow and ice are beginning to melt and I found the shadows and reflections quite pretty.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

I like music from the twenties...there have recently been a number of Peter Whimsey and P.G. Wodehouse broadcasts on the BBC and I just love the opening themes from that period.

  2. Thank you, Linda, for your kind comment on the geese! And I thank you for all your wonderful photos and videos. Love the one of the bird pond - almost nothing cuter than a duck [or goose] waggling its tail-feathers. :)

  6. You're losing snow at the same pace as us.

I listen to a lot of different music, aside from hip hop, rap, and metal, I can find something in most genres to like.

  26. I also like vintage music. At an estate sale a while back there were several CDs of music from Word War II and I bought some. I looked at the Hobbit Hole – what a great little place! I wish we had one like that – it would be perfect when we are expecting a tornado.
