Saturday Serenity

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!

I took the two following photos in 2010.  They depict a public greenhouse, and the second photo...I just couldn't resist these beautiful elephant ears!  :)  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

The videos I have chosen for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

Ballet of Light - Frederic Delarue

RCA Victor Non-breakable Portable Radio - Classic Commercial 1940's

Easy Potato Salad Recipe

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  2. I used to have one of these radios! Or one very similar. You turned the dial to get stations, and got lots of crackling between them.

  10. The Elephant Ears are just beautiful. I had no idea they were called that so I’ve learnt something here today.
The non-breakable portable radio advert reminded me of my childhood, all the adds were like that when I was a little girl.
Wise words at the end of your post, I always try to be kind but like everyone else I have my bad days, I must remember the words and try harder. Have a great weekend, Barbara

  22. Great post Linda. I had a radio made of 'Bakelite' which was OK when new but became quite brittle with age.
