Sunday's Post

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!  The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

Ron Howard to Direct new Beatles Documentary

Paul Gauguin Cruises - Tahiti, Bora Bora, Society Islands

Mother Bird Feeding Worms to Cute Baby Robin

I took the following photos in 2010.  These photos depict a Montreal 'accordion style' bus.  It is called accordion style because the middle of the bus resembles an accordion.  In one of the photos (a closeup of the outside of the bus) will show that this model has 3 doors...one at the front where the driver is, one in the center and one near the back.  Another photo shows a distant shot of the exterior, and the other photo shows the interior...but toward the back of the bus.  You will see what the middle of the bus looks like both from the exterior as well as the interior.  This model of bus is used on the busier bus lines, and not on all bus lines.  It is pretty much twice the size of a regular bus.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  5. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I'm a great Beatles fan so I'll look forward to that documentary by Ron Howard. I've enjoyed most of his films, so I'm sure he'll do a good job.
I visited Liverpool in the summer of 2013 and went to see the Beatles Story museum, enjoyed some music and a drink at the Cavern Club and did the Magical Mystery Tour. Lot's of photo's on my blog.

  20. Shalom Linda. It's nice to see and compare other cities' accordion buses. Yours is pretty, very long, clean, and ... empty. Where are all the passengers?
We have a few of those in Jerusalem but always so packed that it would be hard to shoot a photo. It is fun to stand in the middle on the turning part, like a merry go round.

    1. Hi Dina, I took this photo just after the passengers got off the bus...and before I got off myself! I wanted people to see what the seats look like with the design and all. :) Normally, and especially during rush hour, these buses are pretty full.

  24. The Beatles film is very interesting, a news flash I had not known about! Did you know that I saw the Beatles when I was a teenager? Did you watch Ron Howard as Opie? So much has been shown ans written about them that I can't imagine how there can be anything new or different! But at least we know it will all be true because of the remaining Beatles being involved.

  26. We have those accordion buses in our city bus line as well, for many of the transitway routes, and some of the busier routes that don't go on the transitway.

  27. I've always wanted to ride in one of those buses. They look so cool and fun, almost like an amusement park ride. Blessings!

  30. Hi Linda! I got such a kick out of the Quebec gag video. That would have freaked me out! It immediately made me think of one of my favorite movies and plays: Little Shop of Horrors. (It's a favorite of my dentist too). I used to ride on Denver's accordion busses when I worked downtown. I slid the sunflowers to showers quote onto my desktop for the next time I'm feeling overwhelmed. Have a happy week, after a great Thanksgiving.
